Yesterday, while going through some hanjas,I discovered that in

전화=phone call

전 means "electricity" like in

전철=subway
전구=light bulb (구=공=ball)

And 화 (말씀,이야기) means "words, story" like in

대화=conversation
일화=anecdote
신화=mith, legend (신=귀신=ghost, spirit)

@PilarM_ Me úno a la mayoria; pruébalo con todas pues el "no" ya lo tienes. Que te aceptan? Perfecto! Que no? No te vengas abajo. Un denegación de beca no significa que no eres merecedera, sino que no tienen suficiente dinero (o que hay demasiada gente con enchufe).
