@factor_members Peter, I’ve been thinking that a higher average profit-to-loss ratio and higher win rate would lead to higher PF. Pls correct me if I’m looking at this wrongly.
@factor_members Hi Peter, does it mean you will also be using 50% ATR regardless of a pattern's duration for all trades going forward? If you are, mind sharing your reasonings? Thanks in advance.
A great example to show why connecting highs that form a well-defined horizontal boundary is better than connecting highs that form a trend line (sloping boundary)
Market recognizes the horizontal better than the diagonal.
@factor_members Watching how you trade on a semi-live basis has been an effective learning approach. You have reminded us many times that copying without thinking for ourselves don’t work. I hope things remain as it is.
@factor_members Hi Peter, is Flying M a H&S failure? If it's not, mind drawing a simple example to help us visualise it, if it's not too much trouble?
@FuturesOperat0r@factor_members Hi Peter, would you say that 6-week pattern is too short for a reversal trade? What is your preferred pattern duration for reversal?
@factor_members Appreciate your explanation, Peter! I’ve been tracking my realized P&L for 5 months based on your advice. Struggled with these nuances. Thanks for the clarity!
@factor_members Follow-up. In the same example, does this count as one trade or two trades in your metric calculation like win rate and PF? (Hope this isn’t a silly question)
