"Don’t scold yourself and rush yourself. Welcome the twists in the road. Wander a little. Embrace curveballs and chaos. You have time."
@maenadea I did read btw https://t.co/b396qfqRit btw but I still don't get it - male friendships are incredibly enriching for women, insanely so, and vice versa of course. I don't really see how avoiding them would even work in practice, much less if it's a good idea to try...
So, in general?
My advice? Is to figure this very irritating thing out? And, put up with girls who are not as interested in you, at first. Find your lady friends.
@maenadea Like how are the difficulties of having female friends related to having male friends, should you try to have less male friends because they want to bang you, or should the women who have more male friends stop that - I'm just not sure what your advice/statement actually is :)
@wholebodyprayer Yeah it's very interesting how much we struggle to accept that actually we don't like this person. Yep even if we're in a relationship or want to be and even if this dislike would make our life very inconvenient. We just find it very hard!
@GilberteDSL It also highlights the usee's true natural ability to receive, it showcases how they aren't shy or otherwise constrained. That's very appealing in its own right.
This isn't that easy for either to pull off well IMO, I think it sounds deceptively easy in theory.
@GilberteDSL That's not what's appealing about free use, it's not a prize, though those are fine too. Diff thing entirely that I'm pretty sure men enjoy quite a lot too. Free use is about trust and vulnerability, it can make you feel implicitly competent and confident.
@flatstick96@iWomansplainer Come on tho. She had 16 years!!! to learn this is a thing. It's not exactly hard to accommodate gluten free and dairy free either. Like a fucking potato soup will do it, or a myriad of more gastro options. GF cakes are easy if she wants to give that grandma cake experience, etc.
@lvl99crafting@maebichka I appreciate twitter is a playground for expressing a lot of different things but that is a bit much to blast at another user without further context.
I think I kinda get what you were trying to say tbh but your point is severely obscured by the very hard danger language.
@nuanceexists I think modern men need a synthesis of what was always true, a reckoning with the darker side of reality, and a way to integrate it with their modern values, beliefs and life. (As do women, actually.)
@nuanceexists But, men who reject masculinity outright do tend to throw the baby out with the bathwater and skip the "what was good about it" detail I mentioned. That does look very young, teenage and unbalanced, but it seems a perfectly normal reaction to some very bad trad masc outcomes.
@Kirsten3531@Caroline_Lno1 Ah right of course. I currently live in Bulgaria where it's £40 per clean. A whole house in the USA would undoubtedly be much more.
I wrote a piece called "Patterns of a healthy community" using observable patterns from communities which I have been part of in the past, my experience with cooperatives and self-managed teams, the work we have been doing building a small housing community in Bulgaria, ideas and practices from @micro_solid, and C.Alexander's patterns which I have tested and tried in the past.
