@ATikoca@waduuuuhekkkkk legally, what can the providers do? They can't get the money back. It's gone, used. Fast money gets blown faster, always on things that is meaningless. So it becomes hard to recover. Depends on where the scammers are. If they are oversees no point chasing them costs to much.
@ATikoca@waduuuuhekkkkk Just saw yes true, but remember if someone wants to scam you, they will scam you. Kyc is 1 for 1 customer. That can be used for multiple sim cards. 1 kyc 8 different sim cards scam 1 person.
Providers to have an obligation for scams they have to warn the users. Legally that's it.

@ATikoca@FactCheckFiji@yaakuuuzaa@JoNakautoga And I rest my case as well. Seems like people can't understand what they read. Education and awareness becomes difficult when one doesn't understand.
@ATikoca@FactCheckFiji@yaakuuuzaa@JoNakautoga I know what I am saying been saying the same thing as @factcheckfiji been saying it's a remittance service all this while not a banking service. Plus any one can open a remittance service even a clothes shop, depending on it being open source; wallet based mpaisa etc or a shop.
@FactCheckFiji@yaakuuuzaa@ATikoca@JoNakautoga You do realise mpaisa, my cash are remittance service not a payment system right? They aren't a banking service hence they partially qualify...qr payment locally only. Remittance isn't part of nps act. Anyone can open a remittance service you know that right. No need for nps act
@ATikoca@FactCheckFiji@yaakuuuzaa@JoNakautoga Timing maybe warranted; the scams regardless of which type will always come about. Cyber security is another topic nothing to do with scams. Cyber security is about protecting information being hacked and taken advantage of. A scam is where people need to be active to pay scamers
@ATikoca@waduuuuhekkkkk Controls are always in place for remittance products. It's all about kyc, knowing how to spot a scam etc. Goes are both ways the user and the provider. If the user ignores and doesn't do the research when sending to unknown people, then can't fault the provider. Victim mindset.
@ATikoca@JoNakautoga M paisa is a licensed product. It is not a banking product, where reports need to be submitted. It is a remittance service. Under the aml and ata the service needs follow a kyc. This is why reading tnc is very important. Remittance products says not to send monies to unkn people
@flametree_fiji@SaMaloEh That's always the case, being a business transaction; how much is the right price is the question. I think 25 fjd this would cover the initial costs.
There is SO much money in the world. There are people who own liabilities worth in the millions and they have achieved it in THEIR life time.
No one is stopping you to do the same. Your little scared mind is the only road block.
