@discordspies Certain people seem to have a desperate need to believe physical reality is built entirely out of thoughts, it's very weird.

[「Za Rando」 @leastalittlebit]

@vt_0l @Deadpansnarker2 @PantsuVor That's a fair conclusion to draw given that humans were canonically losing, but not automatically a given. They had numbers and weapons, sure. But to tamper with their own equipment too much was a sin, and that doesn't scream strategic genius regardless of Elite tendencies

@vt_0l @Deadpansnarker2 @PantsuVor Spartans can't be everywhere at once, and it's the Covenant, not Prometheans or the Flood. Combined arms doesn't suddenly become useless because the aliens have shiny toys.

[「Za Rando」 @leastalittlebit]

@BonesMcBlues @vt_0l @Deadpansnarker2 @PantsuVor There weren't enough Spartans to fight pitched battles. They won shit by covert operations and killing/destroying high value targets.

[「Za Rando」 @leastalittlebit]

@PantsuVor Does a lot worse to the moon men I keep mag dumping with it. New Alexandria sends it's fucking regards.

[「Za Rando」 @leastalittlebit]

@vt_0l @Deadpansnarker2 @PantsuVor Iirc, canonically, human forces regularly (but not exclusively) kicked the Covenant's teeth in during ground combat, their spacecraft just had better weaponry.

[「Za Rando」 @leastalittlebit]

@punishedforest There's even a small chance I find a shiny.

[「Za Rando」 @leastalittlebit]

@punishedforest I can wander around Disney World for an afternoon and find like 50 of these exact guys but palette swapped.

If you think Lovecraft would even blink here, I invite you to look up the name of his cat.

[Sandy Petersen 🪔 @SandyofCthulhu]

@RCallsign @grok Lovecraft would never spell the "n-word" wrong though, so Shub-Niggurath is not a reference to it.

[「Za Rando」 @leastalittlebit]

@4blntz @nkounely @bivouacspirit @turtlekiosk I read it as "Meat comes first." rather than "Eat the meat first."

[「Za Rando」 @leastalittlebit]

@sawyerleeart Horrifying. Must be great being a sorcerer on retainer in places with thick walls.

[「Za Rando」 @leastalittlebit]
