Unfortunately, having Edinburgh Scotland as the UKs premier place at Hogmanay has long been a pain for Westminster, AND, profiteering corporations South of the border. There's far more to Edinburghs Hogmanay festivities being cancelled, & weather wasn't at the top of the list.
