BREAKING: A same-sex couple is suing their surrogate for $600K after she refused to abort their baby at 22 weeks in Canada.
Scans indicated the child had a cleft lip and a possible heart defect.
The little boy was born healthy.
That child is alive today not because of the men who purchased his life, but because the woman who carried him in her womb protected him.
Children are not commodities. Ban surrogacy now.
PM @MarkJCarney just handed day-to-day control of his office to an American political operative who worked for Hillary Clinton and Michael Bloomberg.
Her title didn't exist until this week, and even the Globe and Mail can't fully explain how she got here. 🧵👇 (1/6)
You know what wrecked me when I was converting to Christianity?
Jihad is literally the gospel in reverse. Once I saw it, I couldn't unsee it.
The gospel says Christ shed His blood for YOU.
Jihad says you shed your blood for ALLAH.
Jesus lays down His life to save His enemies. Jihad calls you to take the lives of enemies in pursuit of God's favor.
Christianity says the Shepherd dies so the sheep can live. Jihad says the sheep die hoping the Shepherd accepts them.
They are mirrors. One is grace, the other is striving.
One says, "It is finished." The other says, "Do more."
Jesus never asked me to earn God's love with my blood, he proved God's love by shedding His own.
That's why the cross changed everything for me. Jesus didn't come to tell us how to die for God.
He came to die for us so we could truly live. PRAISE GOD! I AM FREE! Now, we need to make all the Muslims Christian.
I want to ask the students screaming “Death to America”, do you have any idea what happens when American values die?
Because I do.
My family fled Iran, a country where freedom died. You don’t know what you have until it’s gone.
You think America is oppressive because you have never experienced real oppression.
You think silence is violence because you’ve never been silenced.
You think words are dangerous because you have never watched a government drag someone away for speaking them.
You think capitalism is evil because you have never stood in a bread line.
You think borders are immoral because you have never had to flee across one.
You think revolution is romantic because you have never had a revolution take everything from you.
I have.
And that’s why I refuse to be quiet.
Remember when I said it set a dangerous precedent to shut down Joffre Lakes Provincial Park to non-Indigenous British Columbians?
Now a popular campground at Green Lake Provincial Park in the Cariboo is closed based on ancestry too, during peak camping season.
With 200+ Indigenous groups in BC with overlapping traditional territories effectively covering over 100% of the province, expect more of this. Much more.
And instead of insisting on equal access to parks for all, BC’s NDP government is enforcing these race-based closures.
I will never, ever stop fighting for this very simple principle: BC’s beautiful provincial parks belong to ALL British Columbians.
NEW COLUMN: Carney is gutting Canadian democracy
Voters handed Carney a minority. He flipped it to a majority by poaching five opposition MPs, then set about dismantling the checks meant to hold him accountable.
Committees got stacked and dragged behind closed doors. Bills got rammed through with debate cut off.
And Question Period? He's skipped 100 of them.
Usually when he chickens out of attending QP, Carney is chilling out in his office instead of facing the heat in the House of Commons.
A hot mic even caught what he thinks of his own MPs: "useful for votes."
Accountability, it seems, is now optional. The bill will come due.

Wow.
Jamie Dimon the CEO of JPMorgan Chase called Carney’s “middle powers” plan a fantasy.
He says it’s been done already, it’s called Europe.
When Carney is being made fun of by the elites we are in bigger trouble than we thought.
A woman hiking in Canada nearly became a grizzly’s next meal and the video circulating right now is genuinely one of the most intense wildlife encounters you will ever watch - her dog is with her, a massive grizzly is right there, and somehow she kept her head together long enough for both of them to walk away breathing.
That is not a small thing. Most people talk tough until nature is standing ten feet in front of them and every instinct in your body is screaming to run, and running is exactly the worst thing you can do.
Grizzlies are built to chase, they top out over 700 pounds and can cover ground faster than any human alive. The people who survive these moments are the ones who override pure fear with pure discipline and this woman did exactly that.
If you hike, camp, or spend any real time in the wilderness - bear spray is not optional, it is the difference between a story you tell and one somebody else tells about you.
Could you have kept your cool?
Hats off to her.
🤦♀️ He either doesn’t know how to plant or this was a setup to keep his hands clean. If you don’t like to get your hands dirty or you don’t know how to do something be assertive and say so or have the humility to learn something on camera but let’s not pretend.
I have deep respect for the hard-working men and women of this province. You pay your taxes, build our communities, and keep our economy moving every single day. You deserve a government that honours that effort by spending your dollars carefully and wisely.
Instead, the NDP has treated taxpayer money with recklessness, driving our debt to $183 billion in just four years. Leading with purpose means we will conduct the core reviews needed on our finances and the public service. Governments do not create wealth. They must prioritize responsible spending so families and businesses can succeed.
That is why our momentum continues to build. The latest Leger poll shows British Columbians are responding to this message of respect and renewal.
I am grateful for your support. It comes because you see a team that respects your hard work and has a clear plan to restore fiscal responsibility and real opportunity.
Trans prisoner Amanda Joy Cooper was convicted of assaulting a 12-year-old girl and two women in 1998. Cooper was living as a biological male at the time.
Now, Cooper wants to be transferred from a maximum-security prison for men in Ontario to the Fraser Valley Institution for Women in British Columbia.
The case is part of a growing debate over prison placement based on gender identity, rather than anatomy https://t.co/lAsueo2I3j
Down Syndrome advocate Frank Stephens:
“See me as a human being, not as a birth defect- not a syndrome. I don’t need to be eradicated.”
The resurfaced video comes amid YouTuber Jesse Ridgway and his wife aborting their baby because it had Down Syndrome.
‼️MY REACTION TO @McJuggerNuggets TURNING HIS ABORTION DECISION INTO CONTENT:
The one thing missing from the discussion was the person.
The child.
The human being at the center of it all.
And I couldn't stop thinking about something.
What would a person with Down syndrome think reading that tweet?
Having children is one of the most selfless acts a human being can undertake.
You are voluntarily accepting uncertainty.
The entire journey of parenthood is an exercise in loving someone whose future you cannot control.
That's the deal.
But somewhere along the way we've started treating children like consumer products.
We ask whether the child fits our plans.
Whether the child matches our expectations.
Whether the child will provide the experience we envisioned.
And when a diagnosis arrives that changes those expectations, the conversation often becomes about whether the child still meets the standard.
That isn't parenthood.
That's consumerism.
And then there is one final thing I can't shake.
The need to announce it.
Not to close friends.
Not to family.
To the entire world.
To a bunch of strangers online.
Maybe that's the part that disturbs me most.
Because we've entered a strange moment in our culture.
Every private experience must become content.
Every tragedy becomes a post.
Every intimate decision becomes engagement.
Every deeply personal moment becomes public consumption.
And I found myself wondering:
Was today the day that aborting your child became content?
As Christians, we believe every person is made in the image of God.
Every person.
Join me tonight in praying for both this couple, and the sweet soul that they sent to Heaven way too early.
It’s innocent until proven guilty in Canada. People should not be treated as though they are guilty until a determination of guilt is made. If we punish people based on the accusation of wrongdoing then it becomes very easy to ruin someone’s life and reputation.
For nearly two years, I have worked closely with @Jordan_Keal in both professional and political settings.
During that time, I have found him to be respectful, professional, genuine, and a gentleman. He has never given me pause for concern, and in all of my interactions with him, he has conducted himself appropriately and respectfully.
I have also seen firsthand the love and devotion he has for his wife, his dogs, and the farm he has worked so hard to build. He speaks highly of his wife, values her deeply, and it has always been clear to me how important she is to him.
Canada's justice system is founded on the principle that people are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Every person has the right to a fair trial and due process before being judged or condemned.
I can only speak to my own experience, but after nearly two years of working alongside Jordan, my experience has been one of professionalism, respect, integrity, and genuine character. The facts should be determined through the legal process, not through speculation, assumptions, or trial by public opinion!!!
Tourists visiting Vancouver are shocked.
They come from normal cities without radical pro-drug experiments, and they are shocked and appalled by what they see on our streets here.
The NDP have turned Vancouver, the most beautiful city in the world, into a national embarrassment.
Tourists are openly sharing their disappointment after witnessing open drug use, street disorder, and feeling unsafe in areas that should showcase the best of British Columbia.
This is gross incompetence on full display. Under the NDP, everything related to public safety is suffering.
We need real solutions now. Expanded compassionate involuntary care for those trapped in addiction and severe mental health crises. A justice system that actually holds offenders accountable. And strong, well-supported police forces empowered to restore order.
We need to clean up this NDP-created mess and make our cities safe.
Canadians have sent 240,000 postcards to senators urging them to oppose Liberal Bill C-9.
Until this morning, the Senate was hiding these postcards in a warehouse in Gatineau. This morning, they were moved to a Senate room, but they still aren't being delivered to senators.
I’ve walked with women who had this diagnosis. They were pressured to abort at every appointment. They were told catastrophic stories about how difficult their lives would be and, of course, how much the child herself or himself would suffer.
They were devastated. But they acknowledged that despite the miscarriage risk—which two of them experienced—despite the heart defects, which one child had, and despite the impact it would have on the parents’ lives, which it did in every case, they rightly determined that they are not God. They do not make life, so they cannot take life.
So they loved those children for as long as they were able: one for 21 weeks, one for 34 weeks, and one for 14 years and still going strong.
Each one is a testimony to the worth and value of every human being. Each one is esteemed more greatly in my sight. Each child is a testimony to the miracle of life and our responsibility to nurture and steward it for as long as we are able. Each scenario is an example of the strong sacrificing for the weak rather than the injustice of sacrificing the weak for the sake of the strong.
