Standard disability allowance payment is €254 a week.
Average weekly cost of heat and electricity is €60-€100 a week.
Average food for a single adult is around €103 a week.
So to keep it in the middle, just for food, electricity and heating you’re looking at around €183 a week. Leaving €71 for rent, phone bill, tv, broadband, travel, clothing, medicine (and blister pack charges 🙄) and all other necessities before even factoring in things like therapies (thanks to the lack of public services), meals out, socialising, hobbies, cosmetics, pet care etc.
How I would love to see @fiannafailparty or @finegael show a breakdown of how they suggest people live on that income in any sort of comfort or ease.
@AccessForAll7
€336,000 wasted on bike shed - wall to wall media coverage for weeks
€2,000,000 wasted on Dail printer - massive media attention also
€10,000,000 extra given to World Bank by Paschal Donohoe, where he coincidentally ended up getting a cushy job at months later - barely any coverage
Why?
Bike shed and printer are small change in comparison to this. Why is media not shining a light on it?
🤯 This is one of the worst governments we have ever seen, mired in scandal and crisis. A do nothing government on its way out.
People need action - real action to cut energy prices, to reduce grocery bills, to build houses, to bring down rents, to reduce childcare costs.
Sinn Féin will fight for that action every step of the way. Because Ireland deserves better. Workers deserve better. Young people deserve better. Families deserve better.
Will Ireland remain an accountability free zone?
Where children suffering extreme pain languish on scoliosis waiting lists?
Where children’s lives are lost?
That's down to you.
Attend the #JusticeForHarvey Rally tomorrow in Dublin 2pm @ Garden of Remembrance.
#ResignHarris
Simon Harris must resign.
Harvey deserves justice and justice means systemic change. End the waiting lists. End the outsourcing. End the cruelty. Simon Harris must go. And the whole rotten system with him.

Political Accountability
You promised in 2017, @SimonHarrisTD, that 'a child with scoliosis wouldn't wait longer than four months', and here we are 8 years later with continued issues, controversies and delays #JusticeforHarvey#ResignHarris
Dirty Rotating Scoundrels
They're absolutely f**king raging they've failed in their attempt to weaken our Dáil and our democracy.
Today, the opposition served us well.

Go raibh míle maith agaibh to the people of Donegal for reelecting me as your TD and endorsing Sinn Féin’s message of change!
I will continue to work hard every single day to improve the lives of workers, families & our communities across Donegal. ✊🏻
#GeneralElection2024
After 100 years of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael, it’s time for change.
Only Sinn Féin can get this Government out.
We have the team ready to deliver change!
If you want a change of government, vote for Sinn Féin.
This Friday vote to change the government. Vótáil Sinn Féin.
THIS IS THE TRUE FACE OF THIS GOVERNMENT
They waltzed into this campaign with arrogance and are now getting shown for who they truly are
They are not connected to the real people of this country. Never mind policy, they should be punished for their arrogance alone
G'luck 👍
This election is the opportunity of a lifetime. You have a real choice, better is possible.
Vote to change the government, Vote Sinn Féin! #ge24#TheBigInterview
.@MaryLouMcDonald is by far the most impressive big party leader on #RTEUpfront
She is a far more capable leader and communicator than either Harris or Martin.
