Great collaborators, interesting natural products and unexpected discoveries made this project really special for me. I still remember how it felt when these structures popped up on my screen 😊
Carolyn Bertozzi – awarded the 2022 #NobelPrize in Chemistry – has taken click chemistry to a new dimension and started utilising it in living organisms. Her bioorthogonal reactions take place without disrupting the normal chemistry of the cell.
This atomic-scale movie upends a 100-year-old theory! Thanks to record-breaking 🔬 video resolution at our @molecularfoundry, scientists have discovered 🔎 how atomic-scale defects direct #nanoparticle growth. Check it out ⬇️

Chicago is the most crystalline city in the world (https://t.co/DdFKLtaf8O). I took the "powder diffraction pattern" (radially integrated FFT) of Chicago and did a crystallographic refinement in TOPAS. The rectangular cell matches Chicago's 4x1 block shape!
A reminder to all of #chemtwitter that if your school or company is hiring right now, there is an awesome list of postdocs & graduate students looking for positions at https://t.co/Wh1nPsAZ4T. I highly encourage you to use the site to reach out to candidates!
If you’re around, stop by my talk and @gkunkel21’s poster if you want to hear more about some of the impressive things our Au(III) s-arylation reagents can do!
So exciting to share our work in @BioconjChem using some pretty awesome Au(III) polymer reagents to PEGylate proteins in 1 minute! Thanks to the team for all of the help and support💛✨💫
Check out our recent publication using organometallic gold reagents for rapid bioconjugation! Special congrats to first author @haydenmchem, our lab’s favorite golden girl !! 💛✨🏆
