Clinton NSA Sandy Berger lost his security clearance and law license, was fined $50,000 & sentenced to 2 yrs of probation for taking just 5 docs from the National Archives
Trump took at least 27 BOXES of state secrets and nuclear docs
Lock this traitor up and throw away the key
Still not one interview from Trump since the search. No Fox, no Newsmax, no OAN, no Podcasters, no Lindell TV, no nothing. And this right after taking the 5th 440 times. Still banging out those posts on Truth Social though - where nobody can ask him a question.
Let’s stop falling for Trump’s diversionary tactic of focusing on his latest absurd “defense” du jour —and instead keep asking why he still has not said why he took the documents, why he did not return them, and what he did with them and/or or was planning to do with them?
1. Kind of an obvious point, but it's striking Trump has not made the most obvious claim someone in his shoes might make: That the documents were harmless--mementos, reminders of glory days, curiosities, etc. (Even some classified docs could after all fall in this category.)
BREAKING: Trump’s stolen documents may have included records showing the identities and methods of agents spying for the US.
Such intelligence records — and nuclear records — CANNOT be declassified by the President alone. So there is no way it was legal for Trump to have them.
That’s not how any of this works.
Anything that falls under the executive privilege umbrella now belongs to the National Archives.
Anything that was attorney-client privilege simply saved them some time in the crime-fraud exception warrant that’s almost certainly coming. 😉
Ring wing nut jobs are now calling Trump’s theft of nuclear secrets “a paperwork dispute”
They called the terrorist attack on our Capitol “a normal tourist visit”
They called destroying our bodily autonomy “leaving it to the states”
Don’t fall for their putrid lies
When Trump bragged about grabbing women by their genitals — Republicans called it “lockerroom talk.” When Trump steals nuclear documents & classified intel — Republicans call it “taking his work home with him.” Stop letting the GOP rebrand themselves. These are heinous criminals.
I apologize constantly for what I did to help pave the way for Trump & Trumpism. I will also apologize forever for helping @charliekirk11 to become a thing. I am genuinely sorry for what I did. And my life’s mission now is to defeat what I helped to create.
And still, the Respectable Republicans say nothing.
Thus Trump does make cowards of them all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sickled o'er with the pale cast of fear.
Impressive foresight on the part of Trump to issue a “standing order” eighteen months ago to declassify the documents the FBI planted this week at Mar-a-Lago.
