@NathanAClark Tonali isn't the signing I'd make by any stretch. I hate how the squad is being built overall. That said, I never thought I'd see us sign 6 first team players by July 1st--especially with the WC on...
If Bergvall leaves, and Spurs get European football next season, the 4 Club Trained players for 28/29 would be:
- Archie Gray
- Mikey Moore
- [??] Brandon Austin 🙄 - probably leaves club beforehand
- [??] Luca Gunter
One could be Kane if we somehow resign him
Basically it means we might have another scenario like when Tel wasn’t registered
If you keep Bergvall, and sell Lolo, you not only get a club trained player, but you keep one of the most promising midfielders in Europe

Tottenham Hotspur claims to be a club that prides itself on being inclusive, supportive and safe. A progressive club that believes in the rights of every single fan to enjoy the sport we love and won’t stand for any form of bigotry, oppression or abuse.
As a group committed to promoting and amplifying this culture, in the belief this will create the best environment and atmosphere to enjoy football, we’re extremely disappointed and dismayed by the publicised pursuit of Roberto De Zerbi.
De Zerbi has publicly backed and supported an alleged sexual abuser and has a reputation for, with video evidence to support it, bullying behaviour - especially towards younger players.
Even if he came with the track record and proven ability to rectify the dire situation the club is currently in (which he does not), De Zerbi is not the kind of person we want associated with our club or representing us.
No to De Zerbi
I would offer that Alex Pretti putting his body—with his hands up—between a woman and the BP agent who had just violently shoved her into the snow, offer stark competing visions of manhood. Pretti, a nurse caring for veterans, who took a face full of pepper spray to shield that woman, is a much better masculine ideal that the masked coward shoving the woman and executing a man on his knees. MAGA may venerate the latter, but most people in a healthy society want the former.
@NathanAClark I hate to invoke arsenal players, but would Per Mertesacker be a decent comparison? Not necessarily in terms of quality/potential, but style/skillset?
@MadisonSpurs It's also leaving us thin at CB.
Danso, Romero, VdV, and Davis as senior players. Archie and other youngsters as cover I suppose. Assuming we're still in it, the re-registration in January is going to be very tricky as well.
For Ange, the game actually was about glory, about families, about meaning something tangible & emotional. With that taken away from us again, we're reminded that we're punters buying a product from a risk adverse company. We may as well support spreadsheets. I'll miss you Ange
The saddest thing to me about all this is if you look at Ange’s history, he’s just a hard working father who came from pretty much nothing. Treated like crap in the world of football for reasons outside of his control. But still he carried on. He is the epitome of grit & courage
we were told that the loser of that final would have insane fallout and be able to do no business
united lost and are making 2 marquee signings by the start of june
we won, sacked our manager, and have shown 0 interest in the transfer market
please somebody make it make sense
