Staging a protest at a military facility at night means entering a militarized zone uninvited and risking an unauthorized breach.
What if one of the protesters were actually a terrorist wearing a suicide vest who detonated it the moment they reached the gate?
There are lines that should not be crossed.
This is a governor attesting to it that more money are coming to the states.
What is your governor doing with the money?
Yes, hold Tinubu accountable where it is necessary, and hold your governor accountable too.
Ask questions.

'Thank you for rescuing us' - First batch of Nigerians evacuated from South Africa commends the federal government for rescuing them on their arrival in Lagos State
Four more batches are expected to arrive in Lagos after over 1,000 Nigerians living in South Africa indicated interest to leave due to xenophobic attacks.
This are the two real brothers of Bello Turji. They are ruthless and have been terrorizing the peace loving people in Sokoto and Zamfara.
They will soon meet their Waterloo
No number plate, no excuses.
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc (+), NPM, has issued a nationwide directive that takes effect immediately.
All Commissioners of Police, Tactical Commanders, and Heads of Formation across Nigeria are instructed to enforce this directive without exception.
Stop, impound, and process any vehicle operating without registration plates or with concealed, altered, defaced, or obscured number plates. No exceptions will be made.
This measure is not merely administrative; it is essential for national security.
Criminals have used unregistered and anonymous vehicles for kidnapping, armed robbery, banditry, and terrorism. Vehicles that cannot be identified or tracked provide cover for these activities. Effective immediately, this cover is being eliminated.
The IGP’s message to all vehicle owners in Nigeria is clear: register your vehicle, display your plates correctly, and ensure your registration details are accurate and visible. No preferential treatment will be given.
To those who have relied on anonymous vehicles for criminal activity: this directive is nationwide, enforcement is immediate, and the era of hiding behind unregistered plates has ended.

Court Orders Commencement of Trial of Ex-Minister Kabiru Turaki, SAN
Abuja, June 11, 2026
The Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama, on Thursday ordered the commencement of trial of former Minister Kabiru Turaki, SAN.
Recall that the matter, Charge No. FCT/HC/CR/647/2025, came up for arraignment on April 22, 2026, and was adjourned to June 11, 2026.
IN COURT:
The prosecuting counsel made reference to a 22-page counter affidavit which it filed on the 23rd of March, the same day as the written address, which the prosecuting counsel stated it wished to adopt.
Argument on the deponent
Ibrahim Abdulaziz, SAN, defence counsel, argued that the affidavit offends Section 115 of the Evidence Act. According to him, the deponent did not disclose his source of information, and that the deponent is neither an IPO nor a prosecution witness. He further urged the court to strike out the entire paragraph of the affidavit and argued on the ground of vagueness, claiming that the complainant intends only to persecute the defendant, as according to him, the charge did not disclose any prima facie evidence against the defendant.
The defence counsel further argued that the charge traumatises the defendant socially, mentally, and emotionally, and urged the court to quash the charge, forgetting that the defendant was the first to petition the Nigeria Police Force, which, upon a rigorous investigation process, found his claims to be false and charged him to court. After being charged to court, the defendant further accused the NPF of mutilating files, and also accused a judge of the FCT High Court in Zuba, necessitating the matter to be moved to another court, the FCT High Court, Maitama under Justice Kekemeke, where a bench warrant had to be issued against him for failing severally to appear before the court.
The prosecuting counsel, U.U. Rabiu, in response to the submission of the defence counsel, cited the case of Josien Lornamead Ltd (1995), where the court held that affidavit evidence is a statement of fact or information heard or received from someone by the deponent.
He argued that the deponent is an officer or staff attached to the office of the complainant (Director of Legal Services, NPF), who is the custodian of the original case file, and that the deponent personally sourced his information. He further argued that the provision of Section 396(2) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act provides that any preliminary objection after the plea of the defendant has been taken should be determined along with the substantive matter before the court.
The prosecuting counsel asked the court to make an order for accelerated hearing.
COURT RULING:
The court ruled that there is a lacuna in the supporting affidavit. However, going by the aforementioned provision, which is a "mandatory provision", the court refused the application of the defendant and ordered the commencement of trial.
The matter was adjourned to 18th June, 2026.
This report is based on proceedings in open court on June 11, 2026, before the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama. The defendant, Kabiru Turaki, SAN, is presumed innocent until proven guilty. All parties are entitled to fair hearing under the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Administration of Criminal Justice Act.
Troops Arrest Two Suspected ISWAP Logistics Suppliers in Borno
By: Zagazola Makama
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested two suspected Boko Haram/Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) logistics suppliers in separate operations conducted in Borno State.
According to a special operational report by the Headquarters Joint Task Force (North-East), Operation Hadin Kai, the suspects were apprehended during intelligence-led operations aimed at disrupting terrorist support networks in the state.
The report stated that the first suspect, identified as Musa Idi, was arrested at about 2:00 p.m. on June 8 by troops of the 162 Amphibious Battalion at a checkpoint along the Mandaragirau-Sabon Gari road.
Items recovered from the suspect included five containers of Atraforce chemical, five containers of Kelisate herbicide, 100 sachets of tramadol capsules and two small nylon bags containing suspected smoked substances.
Military sources said the suspect is currently undergoing preliminary investigation at the Abogo Largema Military Cantonment to determine the extent of his involvement with terrorist elements operating in the area.
In a related development, troops of the 19 Battalion and 25 Brigade Garrison, working in conjunction with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), arrested another suspect, Abu Aji, during a patrol at the Damboa market later the same day.
The report indicated that the suspect was apprehended over alleged links to the supply of logistics to Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters operating within Damboa Local Government Area.
During preliminary interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to supplying logistics to terrorist elements.
Items recovered from him included 19 wristwatches, a large mat, a transistor radio and two cartons of agro-allied chemicals.
The military said the suspect and the recovered items had been transferred to the Headquarters of the 25 Brigade for further investigation and necessary action.
The sources noted that disrupting logistics networks remains a critical aspect of counterinsurgency operations, as insurgent groups rely heavily on local suppliers for food, communication devices, medications and other essential materials required for sustaining operations.
They added that the arrest of logistics suppliers could provide valuable intelligence capable of exposing wider support networks and facilitating future operations against terrorist cells.
Operation Hadin Kai has continued to intensify intelligence-driven operations across the North-East aimed at degrading the operational capability of Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters while denying them access to supplies and safe havens.
Illegal firearms do not circulate in isolation; they are facilitated by criminal networks engaged in their acquisition, movement, and unlawful distribution. Through intelligence-led operations, operatives of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the Nigeria Police Force continue to identify, disrupt, and dismantle these networks, preventing illicit weapons from reaching criminal elements and threatening public safety.
Imagine 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Peter Obi is nothing but an empty vessel without Senator Dickson. He literally begged to be allowed into the party, yet his Obidient mob now attacks it as if they founded it.
If it’s so easy, go and create your own party.
Let’s not forget: Peter Obi is not more qualified than Senator Dickson, and he’s doing the NDC no favour by contesting. He should show some gratitude instead of entitlement.
Ex-policeman and National Leader of awa great party, the NDC has spoken to the bullies:
He reminded them that he is also qualified to be the presidential candidate of the party he founded but chose not to contest.
He told them that NDC is actually doing them a favour by offering them a platform.
He finally told them to be careful (and that this is not Ellu P).
Ayotallah Seriake Dickson is not smiling, he set the tone at the beginning by saying he is the Great White Shark 😂
Lmaoo
So Aisha yesufu wasn’t given the ticket because she couldn’t fund her election?😭😂
Dickson is trying to say politics is not chochocho
We no Dey do “we no Dey give shishi here” you must spend in NDC😂
