@KuKhahil It’s gone on too far, for someone who has flaws in his game. If he had one more year on the current contract, he’d have worked his ass off in the offseason, to make sure he was never exposed like that in the playoffs again.

If it were me, I’d give him the $40m per, bridge the $10m gap, and give him a chance to redeem himself with his play and attitude.

If he can’t show he’s team first, and he’s effectively broken some of what we’ve built, then we have to move him on, and do it early

So take from retirement savings, and spend it now on goods and services to live… Perhaps helps low income cope with increasing prices, but it doesn’t help to combat inflation, it just perpetuates it…. And at what long term cost 🤔

I’d rather look at an A/B super model.

Fund A: leave the existing 12% compulsory super untouched for retirement.

Fund B: 5–10% from taxable income into a worker-owned controlled-access fund, available under agreed circumstances.

When inflation needs demand taken out of the economy, I’d rather see some of my income temporarily diverted into an asset I still own, instead of the RBA repeatedly raising rates and handing thousands more of my income to the bank.

Both reduce disposable income and demand. The difference is, under one model I keep the money.

The Dogs board needs to deal with the coach.

Ciro put our squad under pressure and media scrutiny since mid last year, whilst given all the resources.

He gave us 18 months of stubborn team selections and rigid tactics. Players out of position causing them to crack under the pressure of the system that he created…

He needs to change tact, get a traditional half back to start with, and find a good fullback.

Can’t believe that Sos was right there for him and he neglected to use him. Shame on Ciro. He’s wasted two seasons, arguably 3… It wasn’t long ago we looked like world beaters under Mick Potter. Losing Mick as an assistant, was glossed over with the good work of JT last year, but our attack has lost its way since he was replaced by AOB.

Seems they rushed into player sanctions, in order to get out in front of it.

Would it have been unreasonable to split the issue and punishment into two? Which they have basically said is the case. Two issues.

They could have given the 5 players a minimum of 2 games stand down, and no wages for the three weeks, for breaking team rules and dragging the club into the headlines.

Additionally, warning them, and the public of further and more firmer sanctions, pending outcome of the police investigation, given the more serious sexual assault allegations.

That’s fair to all parties involved, and not unreasonable for Swans fans, and the public in general.

Importantly, Swans needed the courage to wait it out, and allow more time for facts to come to light.

Seems the Swans were led down the garden path by someone... perhaps AFL house, driven into the action by the AFL media, and the broader public outrage, sans facts.

Perhaps these groups were desperate to tear down the gains made by the club over the last 30 years, underpinned by the reemergence of Bloods culture??

Starved of your clubs success can do that to non Swans AFL fans.

If a crime has been committed, and if any charges laid are ultimately proven, then no issue with this and any further punishment, as appropriate.

But if no police charges…..
I think Swans will have a case to answer, to all players, not just those 5, and to their fans.

As a life long swan, and current member, I bought accomodation and flights to Melb for GF weekend 2 months ago…. I’m not happy at all about the lack of patience and trust shown by the club.

Close the doors, and tarp the holes in the roof. Wait out the hailstorm… before trying to assess damage, issue punishment and start repairs on the run.

Instead, he was destabilised from within, left open for public attack… and some players (and fans) gave in, because they didn’t have enough resolve to stay the full course with the man…

@centralNRL Watching the games on the Ch9 1080i broadcast is horrible viewing vs Foxtel true HD and 4k. It just can’t be awarded back to @NRLonNine on this basis alone, with their complete disregard for the @NRL fans viewing experience. Commentary is fine, but low res is just rubbish
