The Philippines faces an existential threat.
No, not "Chinese expansionism in the South CHINA Sea," but the fact the Philippines is LITERALLY OCCUPIED by US troops who are forcing the country to divert national resources from development to proxy war - into turning the Philippines into the "Ukraine" of Southeast Asia against China, the Philippines' largest trading partner.
If the people of the Philippines do not reverse US occupation and oust the US client regime in power now - they will suffer a fate at least as bad as Ukraine.
They are already suffering decades-spanning poverty because of their status as a proxy serving US interests at the expense of the Philippines' actual interests.

This is one the Philippines' Independence Day - guess who they gained independence from?
The US - they were literally an outright colony of the US - when they first fought for independence against US occupation and control, the US instituted concentration camps and systematic torture - this according to the US State Department's OWN account:
"The war was brutal on both sides. U.S. forces at times burned villages, implemented civilian reconcentration policies, and employed torture on suspected guerrillas..."

Every year, imperial propagandists ritualistically invoke this or that version of the 1989 events at Tiananmen Square to portray China as a murderous dictatorship. And every year, scores of people seek to rebut the claims by appeals to video footage and other evidence of what happened.
But I think we can be more forceful: Unlike in the Soviet Union, the Western-backed counterrevolution failed in China. Looking at the historic mortality crisis caused by capitalist restoration in Eastern Europe, this fact alone likely saved tens of millions of lives — and prevented imperialism from extinguishing the flame of socialism altogether.
From that perspective, the events of 1989 represent a major victory for socialism and the global working class. This, no doubt, is the primary source of the imperialists’ lingering outrage.
Hasan Piker is represented by WME Group, the same Democratic Party-linked Hollywood talent agency that represented Donald Trump and still represents ex-U.S. ambassador to Israel Daniel Shapiro, Israeli politician Natan Sharansky, Hillary Clinton, Joe Rogan and countless other political operatives.
In the last 24 hours, Piker's speaker page was wiped.
His supposed block from entering the UK is a fabricated scandal for a Fabricated Man.
As someone living under a US-backed dictatorship, I can tell you this is how it begins. 2 years and 21 State of Exceptions later, we’re ruled by perpetual martial law with Pentagon bombs, sexual torture, military checkpoints, activists starved, waterboarded or disappeared by soldiers. A little DEA operation turns into the opening of an entire FBI Office in our capital, the military killing protesters at a general strike turned into targeted assassination plots on indigenous labor activists, a few visits from a U.S. Envoy turns into U.S. boots-on-the-ground operations where campesinos are electrocuted. Ecuador has lived all of this already: the hijacking of a once socialist nation literally beat into a Yankee colony. We cannot let it happen to our sister nation of Bolivia too.
