@MoodyCenterATX@lizzo Yes! I’ve secured my GA floor ticket in the Pit. SO EXCITED! Can y’all clarify meaning of the Section & Seat numbers? Isn’t Pit all 1 section (no seats/barriers)? Want to make sure my group of friends can dance joyfully together!
@lukemetzger@CapMetroATX@AustinFC Awesome! Hey, @CapMetroATX are y’all gonna offer this same service for Willie Nelson’s Picnic at Q2 on July 4th? There will be 25k attendees, so we’ll need it! Right now, your holiday calendar says “Saturday Service Level” with no MetroRail, UT shuttle, or MetroExpress.
@jcslattery Check out https://t.co/EEnT3rX24F - they have PCR testing sites all around town and we’ve used them for both free vax and testing. Results take longer than rapid tests, 24-72 hours. Looks like at least 1 site has openings tomorrow.
Our offices are closed Sep 6-7 as we observe Labor Day, but our thoughts are with all of those recovering + helping communities in the aftermath of #HurricaneIda. Here are some resources to aid those in need.
“This delta variant is moving like wildfire through our city. We really want our community to understand that we need your help," said Austin Health Authority Dr. Desmar Walkes. "We need you to wear a mask. We need you to go and get vaccinated." https://t.co/2VzcYZrmI5
This story is out of Mississippi, but is very similar to the situation we have going on in Texas. Mask mandate bans and unsubstantiated beliefs that "masks don't really work" led to large, rapid outbreaks on campuses. These outbreaks led to the district going entirely virtual.
NEW: @MayorAdler & I signed orders requiring masks in public schools and county/city buildings.
With our kids back in school next week, our community & public health officials have called on us to take this reasonable measure. This will protect countless lives & keep us safe.
Today we listened to science and the tireless advocacy of families/students/community/staff - the district has made the right decision. Thank you. When we #MaskUp, we #SaveLives.
@Ask_Spectrum@GetSpectrum , our neighborhood in north Austin, Texas has had poor internet service for 3 days. We are tethering to our AT&T mobile phones for work and remote school. When will this be fixed?
