@RobcHailstone@KirstieMAllsopp@RickKelsey@thetimes What Rob said- we already have all of the right pieces, just not necessarily in the right order. The next few weeks could indeed change things massively for the better.
@matthewclifford@ArchieHall The challenge is that the better than average odds will attach to the nearside easy quick win ideas that will make money faster for investor. The big transformative ideas that move the dial will always a) take longer to achieve and b) come with a higher risk.
@matthewclifford And a shout out for Stoke on Trent - the support we got from Keele University’s KTPs in our early start up days was second to none. We’re strong advocates for regional start up/ scale up hubs
@KirstieMAllsopp@HMLandRegistry The Land Reg backlogs are mostly for new builds. Lawyers have strict timescales to get registrations lodged after the move date so post-completion delays unlikely to be on their watch.
@moving_charlie Things are changing here… the Land Registry’s LLC1 project is providing much local search data at any stage and at low / no cost, and more data is being added in all the time. The project is not complete yet, but it’s getting there.
We've just released our upgraded Material Information Report in our Home Owner's Passport to support estate agents with Trading Standards compliance #estateagents#movinghouse#tradingstandards https://t.co/syKiyyg5Qf
I hope legal services will be part of the agenda at the #AISafetySummit. ChatGPT is already providing legal advice and drafting legal docs, based on its research against unverified sources on the internet. AI could plug the legal services gap but not whilst it’s still learning.
Really looking forward to the #dpmsg conference today @HMLandRegistry have done a fantastic job of bringing together the industry to talk about how we improve the experience of moving house

@PhilSpencerTV Completely agree. As a conveyancer for many years, I can categorically state that if all the required information is available upfront, it removes a huge bottleneck in the process. It's the reason auction properties can complete in 28 days.
