@being_ulti Just finished The Catalyst by Jonah Berger. Very interesting read for psychology enthusiasts. Some best this year have been Subtract by Leidy Klontz, The American Way of Earing by Tracie McMillan, and The Death and Life of the Great Lakes by Dan Egan.
Any non-fiction recs?
@being_ulti Totally agreed with the positioning aspects. Stepping around your mark or getting to the spot/disc first puts the impetuous on the other player to avoid contact or cause the foul. Those were the 2/5 I was on board with. Good, smart ultimate in those cases!
@ultimatesascha True. Certain levels of the game allow for more or less within their specific rule sets.
Once you reach a number of infractions of those rules, you’re no longer allowed to play in the contest. Self-officiating and no foul limit would mean they are less tolerated in ultimate, no?
@being_ulti Where do you see this room for more physicality within the rule set? Rule 1A is that Ultimate is a non-contact sport.
3/5 of your suggestions for more physical play are expressly against the rules.

@BaxMarowski Anyone else think that left arm clear out to the face may have warranted an offensive foul?? Great play, but that's a tough call on AK47. (Admittedly one of my favorite players in the late 00s, mostly for fantasy reasons.)
@being_ulti Going with your psychology tilt: Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning and Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman were both incredible reads.
