Happy #NorfolkDay! Our fourth one and chuffed to see how many people have got behind it again this year.
An unashamed opportunity to remind ourselves why we love living here.
The big skies, gorgeous countryside, wonderful coast, vibrant city - and of course fabulous people.
Today is Historic County Flags Day, to mark the day we are flying the new Leicestershire county flag outside Parkside this weekend.
#Leicestershire was the only historic county without a flag until last week. Well done to everyone involved in making it happen.
Today is Historic County Flags Day. 🦊
After 1,000 years #Leicestershire finally has its own flag which we are flying with pride at our offices today.
Leicestershire was the only historic county without a flag until last week.
Well done to everyone involved in the project.👏
First image we've seen (the one on the right) of the new fox-and-cinquefoil flag of Leicestershire in the company of the other UK county flags. To the right is Lancashire, to the left Lincolnshire.
A pleasure to join @aliciakearns, @JaneMHunt & @Tom_Randall earlier today to finally unveil Leicestershire’s flag outside Parliament.
A huge well done to Alicia for pulling everything together & to @LeicsFlag for their brilliant, tireless work on this for many years.
Our County deserves no less than any other and today, after 1,000 years Leicestershire finally has a flag and it’s flying outside Parliament!
Our flags carry our history, our pride, help define who we are, and bring us together as communities and to celebrate our great County
We are delighted to announce that the fox-and-cinquefoil has been registered as the flag of Leicestershire by the Flag Institute: https://t.co/SAKrnUO3Zt
The University of Leicester’s School of Archaeology and Ancient History is in no way directly affected by the University’s recent restructuring plans in other faculties.
To that end we, Yorkshire Devolution Movement, hereby declare that, henceforth, we recognise the Cinquefoil & Fox, as depicted below, as the Official County Flag of Liecestershire.
We ask others to join us in making similar declaration.
Thank you!
Happy St Cuthbert's Day!

As well as being the Spring equinox this year, today is County Durham day. This is the feast day of St Cuthbert, and the cross on the county flag also belongs to him.
