Summer camp is really important to me— I credit my time @ #CampManitou w/ some of the most important and valuable learning & growth of my adult life. Please consider writing your MPs. So many camps won't survive w/o gov't assistance, meaning 1000s of families & children lose out.
Non-profit camps and camps offering subsidies have been hit the hardest by COVID-19. Without them, 1M+ kids from families that rely on financial support won’t experience camp and parents lose summer childcare. Please read below & share! #SaveCanadianCamps https://t.co/35BsVn3swJ
#GoogleHome, #Siri & #Alexa are increasingly important to home & work lives. @myplanet researched their ability to parse & respond to emotion + how that will impact workplace tools in the future. Fascinating & well-researched, read it here: https://t.co/eotY436JhK #voiceassistant
@whatsupanna And I, in turn, got the suggestion from @iamstripedhorse! Supporting the Arts can take a different form from usual these days and still be a valuable thing to support! Thanks for spreading the message, @whatsupanna :D
To go along with the great new piece our Mattie Alston wrote on Inclusivity in AI, we've updated the Smarter Patterns library with 30 (!!!!) new patterns. Check it out @ https://t.co/KciKfo9EiZ
Woman in tech/affiliated industries who also lives in or near Toronto? This overly-complicated code can get you very affordable tickets to a conference! It's almost like they don't want representation, but free marketing! https://t.co/KSFbFfT2nV
I'm usually against the public posting of children's photos. But here there is a public interest combined with a facial expression that makes this child, and their parents, great Canadian heroes in my eyes. "Correct child pose" child, I salute you and your gracious parents.
most underrated activity, which can feel like a luxury, has to be puttering—a few hours alone and you drink a bunch of coffee, listen to records, organize books, clean the apartment, brush your dog’s teeth, it’s heaven
@gleegz Best friend & I send monthly email recapping what we're grateful for. Some are genuinely nice (eg went on a trip!) & some are less obviously nice (eg back has been in a lot of pain, but grateful to have $$$ to address it / that this is unusual for my body / etc). V good practice!
