One of the stand out discussions for me at #BDC21 is the very important focus that @irishcongress have put on the need to look at how wealth exists & the fundamental need for wealth taxes. We need to look at a complete redistribution of wealth & investment in our public services
"Almost all professions are included in protection from discrimination on the grounds of religious belief... that should apply to teachers," says @Chris_Lyttle, discussing his bill to remove discrimination in teaching appointments, which is currently passing through the Assembly.
The govt. is, apparently, going to focus on getting ‘better’ teachers. Here’s the thing - they have the best teachers ever at the moment. The problem is that far too many leave because the same govt. has made teaching an almost impossible job.
