If a police officer pulls me over, and I don’t like the charges, I can have my day in court.
If I get out of my car, stick my phone in his face and cuss him out, I’ll get additional charges and probably arrested.
If I get out of my car and get in a fist fight with him, I deserve to get my ass beat.
If I choose to get in a fist fight with him and have a gun on me, I deserve to get shot if they feel threatened making split second decisions.
All this can be avoided if I simply accept, and respect, the officer’s authority a remain a law abiding citizen.
The fact this is a wild take in America today is laughable.
You are a taker, not a maker. All you’ve done your whole life is take from the makers of the world.
The zero-sum mindset you have is at the root of so much evil. Once you realize that civilization is not zero-sum and that it is about making far more than one consumes, then it becomes obvious that the path to prosperity for all is just let the makers make.
Regarding Tesla, the reality is that I have been given nothing.
However, if I lead Tesla to become the most valuable company in the world by far and it stays that way for 5 years, shareholders voted to award me 12% of what is built. Anyone who wants to come along for the ride can buy Tesla stock.
If Tesla “merely” becomes a $1.999 trillion dollar company, I get nothing. This is a great deal for shareholders, which is why they voted so overwhelmingly to approve this, for which I am immensely grateful.
And they did so by a margin far more than you won your political seat.
Elon Musk explains why government efficiency matters:
“I mean, North Korea, they're starving. South Korea, it's like amazing. And so in North Korea, you've got 100% government. In South Korea, you've got probably, I don't know, 40% government. It's not zero. And yet you've got a standard of living that is probably 10 times higher in South Korea. At least.
And then East and West Germany, in West Germany, you had, just thinking in terms of cars, I mean, you had BMW, Porsche, Audi, Mercedes. And East Germany, which is a random line on a map, the only car you could get was a Trabant, which is basically a lawnmower with a shell on it. And it was extremely unsafe. There was a 20-year wait. So you put your kid on the list as soon as they're conceived. Even then, only, I think, a quarter of people maybe got this lousy car.
So that's just an interesting example of basically the same people, different operating system.”

Everyone laughed and mocked Elon for saying that you could drive a car with computer vision, but he turned out to be completely right.
Because he pursued this path, this tech will proliferate much faster and many lives will be saved.
This is why we must retain him as CEO of Tesla to lead us through this new era. He’s a visionary. And I want Tesla to continue to execute on his vision.
When I got my first visa to come to Britain, it had a stamp on it which said "no recourse to public funds".
It never occurred to me that this was wrong or unfair. Non-citizens should have no access to benefits, social housing etc.
Pay your way or make way for someone who will.
"I forgive him."
Erika Kirk says she forgives the man suspected of killing her husband: "I forgive him because it was what Christ did. And is what Charlie would do."
This has been on my heart to share regarding our response (as Christians) to Charlie Kirk's assassination and the difficult dialogue that has come from it.
- Jesus chose forgiveness over revenge, when He had every right and ability to punish his murderers.
- Justice is essential.
- We cannot fight with the same weapons our enemy uses (offense, bitterness, anger, hatred). Our fight isn't against flesh and blood, we must use spiritual weapons.
- Ostracizing and punishing people for how they respond, even if it angers us, is not the answer.
- True transformation comes when we use the "weapons of Heaven".
- It costs us to live the way Jesus did. Following Him means coming low, and responding in humility. "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do".
1 Thessalonians 5:15 NLT
See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people.
Matthew 5:44 NKJV
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.
In all this, my prayer is that the Lord brings revival and lights a fire in all of us to seek His face. 🙏🏻🔥
@elonmusk If anyone has the resources and will to create a new political party that people will actually rally around, it's you. Americans have been asking for this for decades. PLEASE do this.
One of the great political moves by the left in recent years has been convincing a large portion of America that the rich don’t pay taxes and it’s all poor people, when the exact opposite is true.
The top 1% of earners pay 46% of all federal income taxes. The bottom 50% pay 2%.
