@GreyGenderJedi @ask_aubry It’s colloquial Turkish, basically ‘I’ll come four times without pulling out’. Don’t understand the last part which is directly translated to ‘my wrapped one’ or ‘my enveloped one’.
A devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Türkiye and Syria early Monday morning, leaving thousands of people dead and many more injured.
As recovery efforts continue, here are a couple of ways to help in the aftermath of this disaster: 🧵
Just think about it. The distance of Adana on one side and Diyarbakir on the other is like saying an earthquake hit NYC and massive destruction hit Boston and DC at the same time. These are the distances we are talking about. Massive.
@darkhumorgirl To quote the vet, “Cats don’t learn lessons.” But *I* did, and all silicone/plastic cooking utensils and pans get dried and put away immediately
@darkhumorgirl Two hours after emergency surgery to remove a piece of a spatula he’d eaten from his stomach and intestines, the overnight vet hospital called to say they might not be able to keep him because he was too combative to move from his carrier to a cage.
@sarah81m@creatrixtiara A lot. As a US citizen I got a hotel and new routing when our late flight into FRA meant we missed the day’s last US-bound plane. Turks without Schengens spent 24 hours in terminal b/c there are no visa exceptions and no in terminal hotels for what is a common issue. Despicable
I have never wanted to have pull more in my life. Is there ANYONE with any kind of connection to anyone who can help with this? The strike was not unknown. Did NO ONE think what to do with exit visa less passengers when they shut down a whole terminal for days??
I lost my precious @JortsTheCat merch Sam yesterday. He was a big cuddly orange ball of love and my heart is broken 💔💔💔 Hugs to everyone facing loss and grief
