In endeavor to appreciate the diversity of minerals in Kitui, we visited Mithikwani area in Kitui East where copper is being mined by local groups.
In Kitui West, Ikutha, Kasarani area, locals are mining copper, iron ore and Quartz.

We met artisanal gold miners from Vuyalo who are pioneers of mercury free processes.
We later inspected the proposed Vihiga granite processing factory site in Bunyore Emuhaya constituency.
