lessons I took from war that completely shifted my perspective..
No one ever knows it's the last time sometimes, there's no chance to say goodbye..
Without your home, you'll always feel lost and out of place-no matter where in the world you are...
Your true maturity and awareness will come from your pain. Sometimes, we need to be grateful for our sadness-it brought out a strength in us we never knew we had..
Sometimes, real success is just choosing to keep going-even when the path ahead is uncertain and you feel like you ve got no reason left to continue..
Don't wait until you lose something to understand its true value...
War taught us to appreciate blessings, no matter how small..
War has taught us to be cautious forever...
Someone as cautious as me cannot be deceived. What I've been through over the years is enough to keep my mind alert even in my sleep...
As you can see in the screenshot below, all reports indicate that a military confrontation is inevitable. We are subjected to shelling daily, and the army continues its occupation and expansion within Gaza; every night, artillery shells are fired near the "Yellow Line."..
So, I wasn't wrong when I said we needed to stockpile. War taught us not to save money, houses, or anything else—only food and the things that help us survive..
Money becomes useless during wars; the currency loses its value, and the prices of basic goods skyrocket a hundredfold...
We are still raising funds to secure a six-month supply of cat food; so far, we have reached 10% of our goal. Please lend them your support—I will never forget this kindness.

I am very grateful for the direct support provided via PayPal to feed stray cats during this period and provide them with veterinary care.

To all who stood by us and protected us during the war... a thousand salutations from us, a thousand thanks that are not enough, and a loyalty that will never be forgotten, no matter how much time passes.
You are safety in fear, and light in the darkest days.
@Cuyose@devonzuegel what are you talking about? the population density inside the walled city is more than most of NYC or even manhattan. ~30,000 people live in an area of less than half a square mile in siena.
@groovyagain he was investigating something in the neighborhood idk. a few days prior I did see a man walking down the street swinging a huge chain wrapped around his body
one time this happened to me and it was also the one time I didn’t check who it was through my peephole and I swung open my door and it was the Mayor of San Antonio
A new @pewtrusts study finds that infill housing near jobs, stores, and transit costs governments ~$21,000 less per home to serve, cuts long term infrastructure maintenance costs in half, and generates 13% more in annual property tax revenue per acre than sprawl.
The urban core generates almost all of a typical U.S. city's tax revenue but most of it goes to fund roads, sewer lines, power lines et al in suburbs.
If suburbs paid for themselves, rather than leaching off the city, I think a lot more people would be live and let live on this.
