The last dance wasn’t amazing because they won in the end (that was the icing on the cake). It was amazing because they knew it would end and they gave everything they had in the face of adversity, fatigue and expectation.

Long days practicing, long days travelling. Personally even without the international; the level of consistency has to be commended.

Really proud of the efforts this year from everyone. There were some great moments where the ghosts of future past were pushing us to greater heights rather than being that weight on our backs.

The abruptness of the journey ending overnight is somewhat abrasive. There is something about that driving force of purpose and aspiration. We failed two days short of our ultimate goal but the finish line was in sight so I hope that gives us solace that it was possible and more importantly that every sacrifice was worth it.

Hopefully get to attempt the climb again next year.
