🚨🚨| Manchester United could receive a significant financial boost if Manuel Ugarte's injury keeps him sidelined for the next 12 months.

Under FIFA's Club Protection Programme, United would not be responsible for paying the midfielder's wages during that period. Instead, FIFA would step in and compensate the club, with United set to receive around £5.78 million.

The scheme works by covering a player's salary from the 29th day of an injury sustained on international duty, paying the player's daily wage until they return or the compensation limit is reached.

In Ugarte's case, his reported salary is £120,000 per week—the maximum amount covered under FIFA's policy. That means Manchester United would qualify for the highest possible level of compensation, ensuring the club is fully protected financially while the player focuses on his recovery.

While no one wants to see a player suffer a long-term injury, it's reassuring to know that United won't be left carrying the financial burden if the worst-case scenario becomes reality. 😔
