This is all rumours until anything is confirmed by PM Burnham, not Burnham MP.

But my position has always been consistent.

If people come to the UK legally and follow the system, then they should get what the law promises them — including settlement after 5 years where applicable.

However, access to public funds should require genuine long-term contribution of at least 15 years. It isn’t reasonable for a family to arrive and within a short period gain full access without having meaningfully contributed.

That balance is what fairness actually looks like.

Managers are lucky with projects too, this PSG project for Enrique is why Enrique won’t be leaving PSG anytime soon.

He failed at Roma, couldn’t use 2 seasons at Celta Vigo, stumbled on the best groups of players ever and Enrique did wonders with Messi, Ney, Suarez and the Barca team.

When he left, he’s failed again as Spain head coach before stumbling upon the PSG job that fits him so well.

That’s why Pep doesn’t want to leave City because those kind of projects don’t come too often, it’s why his own best years too were Barcelona and City.

The projects allows them to manifest their geniuses, they have final say on many things, they have access the best players and access to upgrading on any player they deem fit.
