🗣️ Roy Keane: “For me, that is not a penalty. I’m sorry, but Newcastle have been completely robbed here. Their knees collide that’s what happens in a football match when two players are competing for the ball. What exactly was Lewis Hall supposed to do? Stand still and allow the attacker to run through and score?

“There’s no obvious push, no deliberate trip, no reckless challenge. Their knees simply clatter together and Victor Munoz goes down. We’ve seen contact like that a thousand times without a penalty being given. I don’t understand how VAR looks at that and decides Newcastle should be punished.

“Newcastle had this game won. They played well enough to take all three points, defended for their lives and deserved the victory. Then a decision like this changes everything and hands Liverpool a point.

“That’s not the way you want a big Premier League match decided. Newcastle have been robbed of a win, while Liverpool have been handed a lifeline by the officials.”

The problem with PSR or SCR when it comes to Newcastle United is that the club can't afford mistakes in the transfer market.

Last summer's window has turned out to be poor, but rather than being able to spend again, the first team is getting ripped apart instead.

Manchester United and Chelsea have both had truly terrible transfer windows numerous times over the last few years, while Man United are in debt as well, but that isn't taken into account and they just keep spending.

Newcastle have grown their revenues hugely since the takeover, but the club will never catch up unless the rules change. #NUFC
