got completely obsessed with this animation and spent a few hours recreating it just to understand how it works, ended up open-sourcing it so anyone can play with it https://t.co/sF7bQKoWOl
Made this interaction of Linear’s dithered logo for our latest release.
It’s using canvas with a lot of tiny dots. There’s an invisible circle around the cursor.
Any dot inside it gets pushed outward with a cubic falloff so it’s gentle on the edges, and strong at the center.
i was looking at some AI-generated 3d projects recently, and one of the top creators on the platform is an incredible illustrator and artist.
it reminded me of something people often overlook: the best users of generative tools are usually people who already deeply understand the craft. they know the bottlenecks, the tradeoffs, and the problems that actually matter.
i don’t really buy the idea that a junior developer suddenly becomes better than a senior one just because they have access to AI. if anything, experienced professionals know about entire categories of problems and solutions that others don’t even know exist yet.
the tools are getting better, but expertise still compounds. the secret is probably the same as it’s always been: keep learning, keep studying, and keep improving.
The thing about people talking about building with AI is that they always talk about how they’re building, what tools they use, and how much they use them.
Much less is said about what they actually built, or what impact it had.
The tool becomes the job. And the purpose.
Bloom (@trybloomai) is the brand layer for agents. It turns your brand into infrastructure that any agent can call to produce on-brand assets.
Congrats on the launch, @rincidium!

It helps to have a circle of talented friends.
It helps even more to have a sick product that people naturally want to work on.
The goat @lenxism pinging me on a Friday night.
spent the weekend with @cursor_ai Composer 2.5 and built a shadcn component i’ve been wanting for docs pages.
also used Composer 2.5 + the @HyperFrames_ skill to make the demo video.

No matter how much stuff I put out, I sometimes still wake up and feel like all my ideas are nonsense and I got nothing. But what then often happens is I re-remember that all I can do is try. And if I show up, I find ideas always nearly always follow. If you’re someone out there that wants to make stuff or just in the thick of it, please continue trying and showing up. You'll likely end up surprising yourself.
