i see people in the comments asking why we don’t let our friends get too close to our sisters or date them. It’s pretty simple:

I've just finished working on a Smart Medication Reminder System for a client, and this one has been a really interesting build.

The goal was simple...

Help users remember when to take their medication and how much to take.

But underneath that simple idea is a pretty interesting combination of hardware, firmware, BLE communication, and mobile development.

The device is built around an ESP32-C6 and features:

⏰ A real-time clock for medication scheduling
💊 Configurable medication time and dosage
🔊 A continuous alarm when it's time for medication
🌙 A built-in night light
📺 A 128×128 TFT display
🔘 Physical buttons for interacting with the device
📡 Bluetooth Low Energy for communication with the phone

And then there's the Flutter companion app 📱

The app allows the user to:

• Configure medication schedules
• Set dosage and AM/PM
• Connect to the device over BLE
• Synchronize the device's clock with the phone
• Manage device settings

I avoided usibt an rtc module. Once the phone synchronizes the time through BLE, the device can continue keeping time independently. Not sp good because it has to resync anytime I turn it on but it achieves what it was meant for.

I've also had to pay attention to the tiny details...

Button debounce so one press doesn't become two.

Flicker-free TFT updates.

A blinking clock colon without refreshing the entire screen.

A small animated hourglass for a bit of life on the standby screen.

And a mobile interface that actually feels like it belongs to a healthcare product.

It's funny how something that sounds as simple as "remind someone to take their medication" can turn into an entire embedded system.

Next week, I will be taking 3 students and 2 teachers to Rome, Italy, all expenses paid by me.

All visas have been issued and all arrangements have been sorted.

The students will represent Nigeria in the Maths and Science categories of the International STEM Olympiad.

They will compete alongside 154 other countries.

The students who won the 2026 South East Maths Olympiad and the teachers who supported them are going. Both the teachers and the students will experience growth together.

I will continue to push our bright minds to global stages.

In 10 years, I pray you will be alive to see the outcome of our investments in our children today.

Since our new security man resumed work in March, my colleague usually sends him to get her lunch.

She usually sends ₦5,000 to his Opay.

The food she buys doesn't exceed ₦4,000, hence the extra tip is for him.

She has done this everyday since that March.

On Tuesday, as she sent him as usual, she later called him on phone to add Tigernut which is sold for ₦1,700 without sending any extra money.

Only for our security guy to call her, and asked for the extra ₦700.

My colleague didn't pay attention to him, because she was busy at work.

Only for our security guy to come back to the office to ask for the extra ₦700 without even buying the food.

Angrily, she asked him to send back her ₦5,000 that she wasn't interested in the food again.

Now our security guy went and told HR that since this week, that my colleague totally snubs his greetings, and it is making him so uncomfortable.
