@chennaiweather I'm satisfied for October alone. Usually octobers we don't get this type of rain. Sudden flooding heavy rains was totally out of portion. Other than that, the rain really made the atmosphere cooler too.

@DFire68750 No. Very easily can storms as strong as arnab hit us. What doesn't act in our favour is the runway. Meaning that they don't have enough sea to become strong befoe LF. And usually during strong storm times the overall setup isn't ideal for us. Depressions are the most ideal for us

@chennaiweather I am not a big fan of gfs in general. However, I do appreciate their short range forecasts. In this case, I don't think they'll be right as they are one of the only outliers. If they are correct, however, I might just become a massive short range gfs fan. They did similar in 2023

@VinothK13634860 IMO, this is not guaranteed. many models dont bring this even close to chennai. we need to wait and see in real time. gfs has a record of inaccuracy, but succeeds in short range. while this is short range, it cant be fully trusted still as it is fully different from other models.
