heck ghana was robbed of the clearest penalty ever and another possible red on pickford but there was no “var review”

Argentina le ganó a los dos, y está en Cuartos.
Pero el que tiene la llave fácil es Argentina.

"I am awash in dilemmas and deficiencies. Let me find my footing and I will attend to your request."
Whoever wrote that line…I know your pen was on fire.
Ah, right, a lack of understanding. Not uncommon, but I assumed you'd know how typical accreditation around national teams in major tournaments work. My bad.
Let me give real-life examples, starting from this World Cup.
Of all GH journalists here who got accredited, NONE — not one — had "access to the team" the entire time we were here, except journalists attached to the official FA entourage, specifically to produce BTS content.
By "access to the team" I assume you mean bring able to create content in around the team's intimate areas.
In our business, we call it the golden spot: generally, areas where the rest of the media are restricted. The kind of content Talal Fattal's Metro TV used to give us for free back in 2006 - 2010.
These days, we (the rest of non-FA media) were made aware in advance of the tournament that the FA was going to produce "Black Stars diaries" by themselves, so there was no need to ride any ick.
Another example: for the 2022 WC, the FA opened a bid for media houses to pay for "access to the team" as a brand extension revenue generating tool.
Max TV won the bid, and paid, which is why you saw @OfficialSitso and Yaw Ampofo Ankrah do exclusives that nobody else did.
Again, everyone of us knew this. So, again, nobody needed to ride icks.
I do not deny your larger point that sports journalists have issues, or that there are some questionable practices that smell bad, or that there IS ick-riding in certain things, but the example you've given is wide off the mark.
And, also, as a burgeoning content creator as you are, I put it to you that you ride ick in some corners we dont know, to get certain access to big artistes, big events or big political actors (wink). In that case, you will probably call it "leveraging your relationships".
A lot of the barbs made here in the past few days are laughable, but dont take my word for it. As you expand KSS and properly enter this space, happy for you to form your judgments.
You are a straightforward dude, so I trust that you share your new knowledge when the time comes.
Looking forward to meeting Team KSS at the big leagues, sooner rather than later. We need more, not less, dynamic GH media representation to show what we got.
And with CAF and FIFA being more open to the kind of stuff you do (they are admitting more and more content creators into official events), you'd prolly be also be ick-riding for accreditation too, soon. 😝
God bless the hustle. ✊🏾
Last December, one of your current staff got in touch to inquire about how to get accredited for the AFCON. I showed him the process — it takes a few weeks, and does not include riding any system's ick. By the time he asked, he was late and said he will get better prepared for the next tournament.
For the same tournament, one of your former staff (you know the one) also got in touch with several journalists on time, and we assisted him get accredited for him to attend the games. It did not include riding any system's ick. Easy process, if you have all your documentation right.
Any sports journalist who needs to ride any system's ick for accreditation has either been blacklisted (for political reasons) or does not know how to do it.
Thankfully, at the rate KSS is growing, you will surely want to send your staff to big sporting events, soon. God willing, you will be successful.
When that time comes, let us know if you'd need to ride any system's ick, or whether you are also a "pvssy ass niqqa", like you call us.
God bless your hustle. ✊🏾
🚨 Didier Deschamps praises the performance of French referee Letexier [referee of the Argentina vs Egypt match] and hopes the Argentine referee will be at the same level tomorrow.
"I hope the referee will be as good as Mr. Letexier and his assistants like in the match of Argentina and Egypt. My opponent is Morocco, not the referee" @RMCsport
Referee Michael Oliver will take charge of his seventh World Cup match — more than any other Englishman — when Spain play Belgium in Thursday’s quarter-final in Los Angeles but his chances of officiating this edition’s final on July 19 appear slim.
Oliver — or fellow Englishman Anthony Taylor — will not be allowed to take charge of the showpiece at MetLife Stadium later this month if it includes either their native England or Argentina, who are on the same side of the draw and on course to meet in a possible semi-final.
Officials are not allowed to take charge of their own nations to avoid potential conflicts of interest and ensure neutrality, but Oliver and Taylor cannot officiate Argentina matches for political reasons: namely the legacy of the 1982 Falklands War between the United Kingdom and Argentina.

A defending player (Team A) denies an obvious goal-scoring opportunity (DOGSO) by pulling an opponent’s shirt (Team B) outside the penalty area. The referee allows play to continue as the ball goes to another Team B player who gains the possession, takes a shot on goal and misses the opportunity (the ball goes over the crossbar).
What is the referee’s decision?
