Web manager, Pilates instructor, mother to two girls, menagerie keeper. Nobody calls me chicken! Fave topics of conversation: Down's Syndrome and Michael Sheenโค
@TwittyWittyBits@russellquirk That would be a weird reply considering the Conservatives were in charge of Essex County Council for the previous 25 years.
@colinsutton@dave43law@craftymuvva Thanks for clearing that up. At the time, I wanted to know more about our candidates, but only found very limited info online, so George's election leaflet would have been helpful. I received about 4 mailings from Reform that only contained generic information about the party.
@suespensley You are voting in local elections, Sue - so for councillors at your County Council. Check your candidate knows a bit about Social care and care homes, schools, libraries, highways etc at a local level. They won't be running the country. Just your local services.
@BoveFromAbove Whatever its name, it will be the ride that is closed because it was left to fall into disrepair. Shortly before they close the theme park altogether because it was too welcoming for children, and they didn't like that the differently abled children got in on a discount.
@MichaelRosenYes This is perfect! My eldest is starting more Shakespeare at school soon and says she finds it a bit tricky - but is a fan of your work and Chris Riddell's, so this looks an ideal warm-up for her!
@meanhoetinypaws@BoveFromAbove@JonathanPieNews It can, but I doubt anyone who has become a billionaire is naive. He can see what Richard Tice has said about autistic children, loud and clear. I'm surprised he can cope with that, to be honest.
@JonathanPieNews How does Delo feel about Richard Tice's views about autistic children and others with SEND? They will send disabled children down the river. Can he cope with that? Or is he another 'I'm alright, Jack' pulling up the ladder behind him?
@Sukimason@dr_musgrave Putting the view of the author aside, do you not see how this could be dangerous to very vulnerable people who may feel like they are burden to others? Or for those who can't fully understand consent? I can't forget the blanket DNRs that were issued on people with LDs in Covid.
@mirwijn@SJCleary1@dr_musgrave A person with mental health issues can easily start to feel like a burden to others, so that option to relieve that burden starts to look more attractive than the right healthcare. These are very vulnerable people, as are people with Learning Disabilities. This was a teenager.
