Onboard is even better. Lewis tries to get him at T4, Vettel holds (Vettel is on 1 lap younger tyres), Lewis & Seb fight dirty air from Bottas, Lewis dummies Seb into T1 on the next lap, Vettel folds, Lewis gets a great exit out of T2 & T3, the rest is history…
@premystic P2 is the strategic pole in Brazil, if Norris is serious, he takes the lead at the start in T1 tomorrow, even Bottas got the job done on 33 in '21.
@amal_shura Penalties are so soft these days ffs you're allowed to serve penalties under SC... they used to hit you with a DT, and close the pitlane during SCs... they would properly RUIN your race. "outstanding penalty" gtfo
@denithy@BradleyPhilpot 100%. In a perfect world, every illegal overtake should result in a position swap + further penalties if the victim lost one or multiple positions. A singular time penalty doesn't account for Norris losing out to Leclerc for example
@Milmoly@BradleyPhilpot I think he got 4pts added to his license (2+2 for both penalties) bringing his total to 6pts with 2 of them expiring right before Las Vegas, you need 12 for a race ban, had he been punished properly at the US GP, he'd be in big trouble rn
@BradleyPhilpot The whole point of the DT and 10s stop/go is that you have to serve them almost immediately, nullifying any undue advantage. 10s is nothing if you can hold you opponent up until you decide to pit.
@BradleyPhilpot Are FIA Stewards aware of the existence of the drive-though and the 10s stop-and-go penalty? How is Max allowed to 1. Push Norris off twice 2. Go off the track 3. Gain a position ? With the 10s penalties all they’re saying is “free overtake = 10s”…
That being said, the pace of the Mercedes on the hard tire was horrid... 9 races left, the top 3 are within ~60pts of each other, Mercedes is almost 100 pts behind 3rd in the constructors but I'm supposed to be impressed by the progress... 😒
He got spooked by Lewis' pace on the softs + Sainz and Perez were faster, had he stayed on with his hards and fought them, he would've lost time, the position to both, and potentially to Lewis too...
Hamilton gave up at the end and lost time behind a slower Russell on used soft who finished only 5s behind Perez... Now imagine if Perez was fighting Russell the entire time🤔
@eme2alumnos@FormulaUR_@wellerly1 True. A perfect example is when Alonso’s gearbox mysteriously failed🤔 in the title decider in Brazil, dropping him to last 💔😔
