UPDATE: CDF General Francis Ogolla to be buried on Sunday, April 21 at his home in Ng'iya, Alego Usonga, Siaya County, family confirms.

Plans for the burial ceremony is underway as his written wish states that he should be buried in 72 hours after his death.

UPDATE: Photographer Frankford Karanja Mogire, the only survivor in the chopper crash that claimed CDF General Francis Ogolla, among others.

He is currently hospitalized in Eldoret Regional Hospital( ERH)

The other surviving lady perished before getting to hospital, hence the President's report of two survivors.

UPDATE: In marking National Coconut Week, the national government, through the Agriculture and Food Authority and the Commodities Fund, has provided over 43,000 coconut seedlings to farmers in the region to improve their production in the coastal counties.

The seedling provision is a response by the government to the reduced coconut tree population and the existing room for expansion within the Coast region.

UPDATE: In a combined effort to combat acute malnutrition among children, the Department of Health Services in Bomet has initiated a comprehensive two-day sensitization programme on Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM).

The programme, which kicked off Wednesday, aims to equip healthcare workers with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively identify, refer, and follow up on cases of acute malnutrition across the county.

UPDATE: Approximately 327 people with disabilities in the Central Region and institutions received equipment and cash worth over Sh10.7 million from the National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya for the year 2024.

The Fund’s Chairperson, Dr. Christina Kenyatta-Pratt, kicked off the exercise in Nyeri town by donating sewing kits, farming tools, mobility devices, and salon equipment to individuals and cash grants to institutions that support persons with disabilities.

UPDATE: Turkana is the first county to implement the new Seasonal Malaria Chemo-Prevention (SMC) strategy to prevent malaria.
