Working towards conscious workplaces and better government for human beings (for generations to come) | I love books, Victorian wines and good conversation
I am excited and proud to say that I have been endorsed as a Senate Candidate for Victoria for the @AusDems. If ever there was a time to keep the bastards honest, this must surely be it. #auspol#AusVotes2022#ausvotes#senate https://t.co/4jyoiKEXhT
Morrison instructed Border Force to reveal election day asylum boat arrival
We must never forget this. After 9 yrs as Minister & PM he told us he couldn’t speak about refugees at sea.
This has always been about votes not saving lives

Today after 10yr long struggle, yrs in detention, beautiful #Murrugappan family will be told they can finally go #HomeToBilo! Let’s celebrate it fiercely! Then remember the thousands of other families just like them here in Oz with no place to call home. We need seismic change
Looks like the @AlexanderDowner reinvention as a bomb thrower to demolish Independent @Mon4Kooyong was a shocker….”the woman who beat Josh”made the Timor Leste Bugger look like an old fool. @QandA
Australia's new parliament is set to be the most diverse, a welcome move. “The #genderdiversity element is exciting but the #culturaldiversity one is still a work in progress," says WFE Board member, @LisaAnnese https://t.co/Cnhf3e1gPa

We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our volunteers, voters and candidates!
Although we didn't return to the senate we had our best result in over a decade.
The rebuild has begun and we sincerely appreciate everyone who has come on board.
More to come...

Mark McGowan asks the federal press gallery to reflect on their behaviour at doorstops. They should at least have the conversation. But they won’t. They close ranks every time.
@LindaBurneyMP on @RadioNational with @PatsKarvelas is everything today. So much joy, hope and pride in what is now possible for our country. Thank you Linda, you are just awesome. I feel like we can breathe again.
Now is the moment to end the climate wars and get on with the work.
It’s time for ambitious, just, and science-backed action to restore our planet to good health.
Australia, we can do this!

Big congrats to @albomp on the win in the election last night. Looking forward to working with you and NDIS minister @billshortenmp to continue to make our society a safer, fairer and more inclusive place for people with disability right across the country!
If any of the TV stations had asked people from within the independent movement to join their commentary panels, they might appear less confused about their success and potential future impact

@cheryl_kernot@Birmo The real @Birmo finally stands up? Very sad it was this late in the piece - he was the one Libs voice of reason on ABC last night too. Too little. Too late.
I cannot wait to spend 3 years pushing for progressive change and human rights, not desperately defending against a tide of laws that weaken our democracy and trample on people.
What a delight to finally wake up in a country no longer governed by the most corrupt and dishonest in its federal history.
Better yet, business as usual politics has been completely disrupted by an array of outstanding women.
I just walked into my local supermarket, and paused to let a random Dad and daughter in first.
Dad: How are you today?
Me: I’m alright thanks. You?
Dad: (pointedly) I’m very happy today.
Me: Yeah, me too.
We share a moment.
Here’s to a kinder Australia.
