BREAKING: Iceland’s 🇮🇸 national public broadcaster just voted to ask the EBU to disqualify Israel from Eurovision 2026.
In the past, these boycott efforts were ostensibly in favor of a ceasefire.
But the war in Gaza is over. What’s the excuse now?
There’s no more pretense. This is about silencing Jewish and Israeli artists, just because of who they are.
Remembering Captain Guy Nezri z”l
1999–2024
On October 7, 2023, Guy bravely fought in the southern front, first helping restore control in the Gaza Envelope, and later leading his troops into the heart of Gaza.
In November, he paused combat to train a new generation of recruits—personally inspiring hundreds to join the Armored Corps.
By May 2024, he returned to the battlefield, commanding intense operations in Tel al-Sultan, rescuing hostages, recovering the bodies of six kidnapped Israelis, and taking part in the pursuit of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
In October 2024, during an operation in Jabalia, Guy's tank was struck by an anti-tank missile. Two of his soldiers—Staff Sergeant Ofir Berkowitz and Sergeant Elishai Young—were killed. Guy was critically wounded.
Before losing consciousness, he told the medical hostages "I believe in my soldiers. I trust them. They will win this war."
Guy fought for his life for ten days. On the tenth day, his injuries overcame him. He passed away.
Guy was a deeply loved commander—admired by his soldiers, respected by his superiors. He led with quiet strength, unwavering purpose, and deep faith in Israel’s right to exist in peace and freedom.
He was a devoted son, brother, partner, and friend. A soul full of joy and kindness, a man of compassion and truth, a leader, a hero.
May his memory be a blessing. 🕯
I’ve visited with Tal Shoham several times & his story and that of his wife, children & in-laws reveal there were few “good” people in Gaza. Not once did a citizen there reveal location of a hostage or help them. Not once.
Every post of a released Palestinian on here has a caption like “he’s spent 20 years torn away from his family” and then a quick Google search reveals he blew up a school bus.
Two years. Two years passed since the last moment I saw Avinatan, the love of my life. Two years since the moment terrorists kidnapped us, put me on a motorcycle, and tore me away from Avinatan before the eyes of the entire world.
From that moment, our journey in captivity was separated. I was held captive with children, women, and the elderly, while Avinatan was held alone. I was mostly kept inside houses, while Avinatan was only in the tunnels. Hamas released videos and signs of life from me, while there was no information at all about Avinatan. I was held captive by Hamas for 246 days, while Avinatan was held for 738 days. I came back in a heroic rescue operation, and Avinatan returned in a deal.
But both of us, against all odds, came home and were reunited!
I cannot put into words the range of emotions I felt when I saw him for the first time after so long. Each of us faced death countless times, and yet, after two years apart, we are finally taking our first steps together again in the State of Israel.
At last, we can begin our healing together. The recovery will be long; we still haven’t truly processed what has happened here over these past two years. But we won. We won our personal war, and the war of all those who fought alongside us to reach this moment. And now, the time has come to begin our shared journey together.
I want to say a huge thank you, first and foremost, to the @IDF soldiers and security forces who have been fighting for so long and risk their lives for us every single day. Thank you to our family, friends, and to the people of Israel, Am
Yisrael, who raised their voices when we couldn’t speak. To the people around the world who embraced us, to all the incredible individuals who supported us through the hardest times and never lost hope throughout this long period. To the US government, which opened its doors to me and was always there to listen, especially @SEPeaceMissions Steve Witkoff, @jaredkushner, and the exceptional, President @realDonaldTrump.
To all the people who too stood beside our hostages and understood that light must overcome darkness.
We will never forget the fallen and the murdered, and we will not stop fighting until every fallen soldier and hostage is brought home for a proper burial in Israel.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This could never have happened without you.
We are back ❤️
Seeing the tens of thousands of Palestinians return to their homes in northern Gaza, one can only remember the endless accusations against Israel: that the war was about displacement, ethnic cleansing, settlements- that these are supposedly the 'real' aims. Now the war has ended, Israel sees itself as victorious, and none of these goals has been achieved. How is it possible?
Here's the truth: Israel was trying to prevent Hamas from controlling Gaza and, primarily, trying to get its hostages back.
I’ve spent so many words in international media explaining that this war could end in minutes if Hamas agrees to return the hostages. But that ship had long sailed; the war was not portrayed by most of the international journalists or politicians as a war at all.
Israeli military casualties were almost never reported. It was presented as an onslaught, a massacre - no security aim, no reason, just death, reigned by Israelis with no purpose. Now, the hostages are returning, and the war has suddenly stopped. Will they remember that forgotten connection?
Hostages were always at the heart of the legitimacy of the war- for Israel, the U.S., and the international community. True, far-right and some Likud elements in the Israeli government had other (dangerous) dreams. The Prime Minister allowed those to be discussed and addressed. Yet these were never the consensus or a real option.
Recap: Hamas first refused to give up control of the Strip. Then, it refused to release hostages before full IDF withdrawal. It then refused disarmament. Now it agrees to all of these conditions. Echo chambers that cheered Hamas’s radical demands were obsessed with indicting Israel rather than ending the war and saving lives.
With all my criticism of Netanyahu and the missed opportunities to end the conflict, this was never about endless war. I write this no to defend him, but to explain the Israeli society. one only needs to know Israelis and witness the scenes of joy now, with this ceasefire, to understand that this is a people that wanted their lives back. Mainly, they wanted the hostages home and to know Hamas isn't a threat anymore.
President Trump, in a true demonstration of state-of-the-art statecraft, made it happen. He will forever be regarded as a hero in Israel.
Those who amplified Hamas’s demands are now silent- or even condemning the agreement. For them, it’s never been about Palestinians. It’s about hating Israel and Zionism to the point of being willing to sacrifice the last Palestinian so that their argument demonizing Israel will prevail.
🚨 JUST IN: Ben Shapiro says President Trump "IGNORED" all conventional State Department wisdom and was firm on Muslim countries - and that's why he achieved peace in Gaza
"All the State Department conventional wisdom that has FAILED for 80 years...he understands that in the Middle East, you actually have to FORCE people to keep by their promises."
"He understands that supporting our allies in the Middle East is much smarter than pretending neutrality between our allies and their enemies and our enemies as well."
"The president refused to accept the idea of an Iranian dominated Middle East, and instead, he gave the Israelis what they needed to succeed militarily and diplomatically."
"He worked with allies like Qatar and Turkey and actually made them promise that they were going to push Hamas into the corner. That's the thing that hanged between two years ago or a year ago."
"Phase One is an extraordinary achievement, like, a Nobel Prize-worthy achievement, by the president of the United States. One of the great diplomatic achievements in my lifetime!" @benshapiro
It was incredible to be together with the Israeli Hostages to personally congratulate President Trump, THE PEACE PRESIDENT, on the deal to bring ALL the Hostages HOME.
MONDAY!!!
Thank you thank you thank you to President Trump and his amazing team:
@SecRubio@SteveWitkoff and
@jaredkushner
Amazing!!!!
When Shlomo realized that terrorists had entered his home, he left the protected room where he was with his family, sat down in the living room, pretended that he lived alone, and waited for them.
When they saw him, they did not hesitate to shoot him, then rushed to continue the massacre and left the house.
Shlomo saved his wife, daughters, and grandson!
A hero, may his memory be blessed.💔
Israel Foreign Affairs Ministry on Hamas-Sumud Flotilla:
No wonder the fake-aid Hamas–Sumud flotilla rejected all the proposals from Israel, Italy, and Greece to peacefully unload the aid for Gaza in one of the regional ports: after checking all the ships and yachts of the flotilla, the total “aid” we found amounted to barely 2 tons across 42 vessels.
This amounts to less than one-tenth of a single aid truck!
For comparison:
• A single aid truck entering Gaza carries about 20 tons of aid.
• Around 300 aid trucks enter Gaza every day.
The Hamas–Sumud flotilla was nothing more than a publicity stunt.
BREAKING: The Israeli film “The Sea” just won the prestigious Ophir Award and will represent Israel at the Oscars. The movie is about a Palestinian child who sneaks into Israel to visit the beach in Tel Aviv.
2,000 western filmmakers and stars will be boycotting it in the name of fighting for Palestinian rights 🤔
