Using incorporation stats to justify solo founders as a future default is stupid. I bet half of these are kids that discovered Claude code and incorporated as Poop AI the next day.
Mfs forget that longterm you’re gonna get bored and burnt out without a cofounder. I bet in 10 years the number of solo founders (and any startup) will 10x but the number of successful ones (aka humanity changing not some $1M ARR bs) will remain proportional.
Stripe just released a report on Solo Founders showing the highest number of solo incorporations yet.
We saw similarly when collaborating with Carta: more than 1/3 of companies were being started solo.
Early days: solo founding will become the default over co-founders.
