One movie, all great songs
Have been enjoying these tweets so much, but notice that this one has not been mentioned: Moulin Rouge
Here’s for the soundtracks of our lives!
Many people assume they are bad at writing because it is hard. This is like assuming you are bad at weightlifting because the weight is heavy.
Writing is useful because it is hard. It's the effort that goes into writing a clear sentence that leads to better thinking.

I spoke to the flight attendant in my plane, who was sympathetic and said that checking in cabin baggage was voluntary and the @KLM ground staff should not have been forced me. Putting this here so people know.
Hey @KLM , I paid extra to sit in front & deliberately traveled only w/ a small luggage & handbag so I can directly leave upon landing. Now you forced me to check in my luggage and denied my offer to put all my stuff in 1 bag, but 8+ others boarded after me w/ 2 bags. Ridiculous!
@LindsayMasland Not in academia, but yes this is a problem. I also booked my days at least three days, preferably a week in advance so I can do the work outside of meetings
The hunt for 'perfect' solutions to environmental problems get in the way of progress.
It delays action.
While we wait to find perfect fixes, the temperature keeps rising & millions die from air pollution every year.
Let's not wait.

Germany installed 675 MW of solar in November.
In the first 11 months of 2022, the country added around 6.8 GW of new solar capacity.

@moorehn Noted, thanks for taking the time to respond. I think the blame is more on those who nudged (and would benefit from) El///n to make the offer on the first place. Once the offer is in, at multiple the company value, the management shd pursue it to maximise shareholders value, no?
We have barely begun to understand the critical importance of forests. We know of course they absorb CO2, but that is just a tiny fraction of what they do. Destroying them is- literally- suicidal. We must stop at nothing to halt & reverse their destruction https://t.co/duW5xJf1Wj
Wow. How did you know this? Genuinely impressed, also by the fact that you say Bahasa Indonesia, most say “Bahasa” only, which is incorrect as a translation to Indonesian language.
This is an example of why every language should have at least two forms of "we", such as the inclusive and exclusive forms in Bahasa Indonesia (kita and kami). The "we" that does such things is seldom the "we" that suffers the consequences.
