The last Le Pub with Mick Thacker & Julian Kilverstein was nothing short of mind blowing. Dr Flavia Mancini is the next amazing guest, she will take you in a completely different direction but equally as brilliant.

Thanks so much @LePubUK @LePubNL, Julian, Mick @dibbygibby and Laura @laurarathbone fantastic evening! Baby kicking like mad during- must have been Markovs Blanket
@ben_davies42 @LePubUK @dibbygibby@Julian Thank you Ben! It was brilliant and we are so proud and excited to being Home Brew to everyone! So much more to come!
@Fizzbw Honestly, it's those discussions that have helped me more than any other intervention... and yet our health care system is structured in such a way that in-depth conversation with a clinician is nearly impossible. (Unless, of course, they happen to be on Twitter!)
In one minute how would you explain predictive processing to patients? Mick...’there is expectation and reality...do you need to change expectation to bring it in line with reality or the other way round’

"Pain is always a personal experience - it can be communicated to a greater or lesser extent, but it remains a first-person experience."
@dibbygibby during @LePubNL tonight.
Half time! We have 52 questions!!!We will cover as many as possible live but the rest we’ll deal with on Facebook. This is SUCH a great Le Pub! @lepubnl@Pijninfo@laurarathbone
Can predictive processing bridge the gap between biology and the lived experience of pain?
Does the predictive descending event precede the sensory event?
Is there really a clear divide between input and output in pain?
Already lots of interesting questions during @LePubUK
How to explain predictive processing in layman’s words to someone in pain:
Talk about the persons’ expectations versus reality.
Start a journey to balance these 2
🙏@LePubNL
I'm a bit late to the party on reading this one, but what refreshing and brilliant read it is. A must read for all of us engaged in the world of pain. 👍
