BREAKING: Another woman has been shot and killed in Thembisa.
Gauteng police are investigating a case of murder and robbery following the shooting of a 23-year-old woman in Temong, Mapungubwe Street, Thembisa, this morning at about 05:45, 28 September 2026.
The woman was reportedly on her way to work when she was shot and killed during an alleged robbery. Her belongings were taken during the incident.
The deceased has been identified; however, her family is yet to be formally notified.
Preliminary investigations have not established any link between this incident and the recent cases involving the bodies of women found in Ekurhuleni.
No one has been arrested yet and the police are following up on leads.

HELP POLICE LOCATE MISSING CHAMILLA JO-ANN RODERICK
Police in Odendaalsrus have registered a missing person's file and request assistance from the public in locating Chamilla Jo-Ann Roderick (18) who was reported #missing in Odendaalsrus.
It is alleged that Chamilla was last seen on Friday, 25 September 2026. She allegedly left her home in K10 Kutlwanong to submit a Curriculum Vitae in Welkom. No one has seen or heard from her since. Efforts to locate her were all in vain.
Chamilla was last seen wearing a white shirt with stripes, a black cropped top and navy blue Redbat slides.

UPDATE: BODY OF MISSING GIRL FOUND
The decomposed body of 11-year-old Athi Zimi Mnguni, previously reported missing at Ngqeleni SAPS on 30 August 2026, was found in the river of Nomcamba Locality, Zinduneni A/A in Ngqeleni, Eastern Cape, on Thursday, 24 September 2026.
The body was identified by her family as well as community members. Police investigations continue.

An 8-year-old girl, Precious Lufwempa, was found alone along Katima Mulilo Road at around 22:00.
She has since been taken to Chaisa Police Station, where she is safe and in the care of the police while efforts are being made to locate her parents, guardians or family.
⚠️ Please take this appeal seriously. A child this young should not be alone on the streets late at night.

MISSING TEENAGER
Police in Lenasia South are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Keseabetswe Excelia Kgantlapane, who was reported missing.
Kgantlapane was last seen by her sister on Saturday, 19 September 2026, when she left home without informing anyone where she was going. She has not been seen since.
At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing brown tracksuit pants, black and white sports shoes, a brown pyjama top and a black and white jacket.
Anyone who may have information regarding Kgantlapane’s whereabouts is urged to contact the investigating officer, Constable ED Anthony, on 016 466 2352.
