From Petrol Attendant to Medical Doctor.

Meet Dr Ntando Makhubela from Nelspruit.

After matriculating in 2014 with distinctions in Maths, Biology & Physics, he couldn’t afford university. To support his family, he worked as a petrol attendant while holding onto his dream of becoming a doctor.

A community leader noticed his potential and encouraged him to apply for a scholarship. In 2016, he received funding from the Mpumalanga Health Department and was sent to Cuba to study medicine.

After years of dedication (including learning Spanish his first year), he graduated as a Doctor of Medicine In July 2023. 🎓
