Their statements overlap because they are all working together to the same end. This isn't a "conspiracy" it's a clear and factual representation of how things are being done - and have been done for the last year.
They are NOT (openly) disagreeing with the judgement (because they ALL claim to "respect it").
Let me explain how the Supreme Court works. It explains what the law IS and ALWAYS has been. Your only solution if you don't like the LAW is to change the LAW.
They are actually disagreeing with the guidelines of the EHRC on how bodies should develop policy to comply with the LAW - the guidelines do not create law, they simply explain how to comply.
They want the guidelines laid before Parliament "disapproved". Which means they don't want there to be any guidelines about how THE LAW should be applied.
They haven't got the courage to campaign to change the LAW, so they are trying to sabotage day-to-day compliance with the law because they think men in dresses take precedence over women.
So it's pure coincidence that all these bodies have been repeating exactly the same mantra since the Supreme Court judgement? "We are awaiting the guidelines and in the meantime we will continue as we are, despite the definitive legal position the SC provided"
That bodies have continued to fight legal cases based on "Stonewall advice". That Unions are on record as saying they won't support women making claims that involve Trans people.
That many Unions have put out almost identical statements in the last week. All essentially saying the same thing "Trans is more important than women's rights and the law" and demanding that the guidelines be scrapped - although they describe how to comply with the ACTUAL law.
How 50-odd MPs are prepared to make the same arguments, demanding that organisations not be provided with guidance on how to comply with the law - because they want the last year of chaos to continue.
Things have broken down for ONE reason.
Someone, somewhere decided that people who claim to be a sex different to that which they are should be allowed to invade the jobs, sports and protected single-sex spaces of the sex they now claim to be. A whole "industry" grew up around that. "Rights" were claimed which never existed.
Women have had to fight to re-establish the spaces and rights they have been given to protect their privacy, dignity and safety. And the Trans Lobby don't want to let them have their spaces back and are fighting tooth and nail against it.
@RumpleFinkin@Record_Politics Spoken like a true fellator of the SNP. You're perfectly happy for your heroes to repeatedly break that law. Perfectly happy because your fading dream if Indy is more important than even basic honesty. Your vision of Scotland as a parallel is hellish. SO fuck off
You're living in utter delusion. The entire public sector and Trades Union movement are completely captured for a start! This is why we have industrial tribunals brought by nurses being forced to change in front of men when Workplace regulations mandate single-sex changing spaces but local managers overrule it.
The Trans movement is very good at shape-shifting. You've moved on from "rights" to "unworkable". They're not unworkable because they reflect how we all used to behave until the Trans movement came along and started claiming "rights" they didn't have. The only people making them unworkable are Trans people who are determined to ignore the law (and guidelines) and continue to behave as before.
Use the facility that aligns with your biological sex applies to everyone.
@Abuseumaus@DMScotPol It appears to be a function of the complete shitshow that is D'Hondt. One large minority party and several smaller minority parties delivers total control to the large minority party.
Nothing like a one party state, eh?
@RumpleFinkin@Record_Politics Except it isn't. It's part of the ongoing investigation. Electoral law (and fundraising law) are clear that if you call something "ringfenced for X" then it can only be spent on X
@AdamCrafton_ So although the stadiums are mandated by several codes to provide free drinking water, FIF are going to ensure fans have to buy at least 1 drink. Turning the fountains off would probably be illegal in several states and cities
