@SPuro88@soares_uro@MayoUrology With the described technique you can pass a basket down the obturator to grasp and deliver the prolene suture as an alternative to feeding the suture through the obturator.
@SPuro88@soares_uro@MayoUrology If you use a full length 3-0 prolene tied to itself and then pass a long flexible grasper down the 10 Fr outer of the 8/10Fr to grasp the prolene and deliver it through the 10Fr, you can carefully advance the 10 French over the stent and up the ureter. An old RVC/EMcD trick.
Congratulations to Dr. Kymora Scotland for being our 2023 Rising Stars in Urology Research Award recipient! Her research proposal aims to determine the role of bacteria in the growth of calcium-based kidney stones and the significance of bacteria to kidney stone disease.

@RoboDocX@joseantonio_MD Could consider splitting the parenchyma along the upper pole infundibulum via the sinus guided by ureteroscope through perc tract and firefly, and anastomose the native ureter to the upper pole infundibulum end to side. Would potentially avoid more significant nephron loss.
