Rob Powell - Counter terrorism police have just said all 5 men arrested are British nationals. Isn’t this why you shouldn’t be speculating on this sort of stuff?
Nigel Farage - No
RP - But you suggested they could have come on a small boat
NF - I didn’t
Cue Nigel.

Something to be truly proud of.
Rachel Reeves made history by becoming the UK’s first female chancellor of the exchequer.
The post has existed for the past 800 yrs and always held by a man. Until now.
But i'm less proud of how Burnham & co ended her career

🇪🇺🇬🇧 The UK will rejoin soon.
Labour warns Burnham: don’t wait.
🔸 Support for rejoining has reached 61%, its highest level since Brexit.
🔸 Rejoining would boost Britain’s struggling economy.
🔸 The EU is deepening economic integration while Britain remains outside.
🔸 London, Berlin and Paris should lead a united European superpower.
Millions of votes are at stake in the next election.
Britons cannot wait any longer.

Amen to this moving tribute to @Keir_Starmer from @kazrg9z
He had a profound effect on me too. He stood out way above the crowd: unassuming, humane, decent, supersmart, unique & incorruptible no matter how high the stakes were for him personally.
Thank you from me too, Keir.🙏
Tomorrow never comes Mr Burnham.
Today's the day and as we know, procrastination is the thief of time.
Serious negotiations with the EU should begin today
Social care plans should have begun yesterday but today will do
The word ' hope' signals passivity.
Its time to take control
The fact remains, Britain has no money. Thanks in the main to the Tories. But now they’ve taken Starmer and Reeves out it’s unlikely to change in the foreseeable.
So Andy Burnham has no ability to deliver on his ambitions.
It was all a con.
I will look forward to this speech. We all know the accusations of double standards and his role in the coup. Many Labour members will have little faith in Healey, given his past actions alongside Burnham.
But the real test will be whether he explains how all these commitments Burnham is now making will actually be paid for, particularly where detailed costings have yet to be provided. The one measure that would help almost everyone is raising the income tax thresholds, allowing working people and pensioners to keep more of their own money rather than being dragged into paying more tax simply because wages and pensions have risen.
Many members will also want him to explain his own treatment of Starmer and why they should now place their trust in him.
Of course, we will listen to what he actually says, analyse the speech for ourselves afterwards and report back!
Alastair Darling called Andy Burnham a “lorry on ice”—and now we see why. Burnham condemned Starmer’s social-care delay, promised to bring it forward and demanded urgent talks. Now? More delays, vague promises and no delivery. AFTER and IF he wins a GE!
What a betrayal. @LBC
Brace yourselves guys...it’s another glorious day of @andyburnham and @UKLabour MPs serving up the usual cocktail of cringe slogans.. political gaslighting and conference day theatre.
What fresh delights await us today? More breathless gushing over people whose moral compass appears to have been permanently mislaid?
More self congratulatory speeches.. empty platitudes and outrageously polished nonsense?
Apparently..this is what passes for Labour politics these days.
And honestly.. the sycophancy tells you everything you need to know.
Right then… ready, steady… let the cringe commence.
I don’t think it anymore… I know there is nothing this Labour Party.. under Burnham.. could do to bring me back.
I simply cannot support them.
It’s not only because of what they did to @Keir_Starmer ...but that is a huge part of it....
In my opinion.. they have fundamentally soiled the party.
I can no longer see the values that I once saw when Keir was at the helm.
What I see now seems increasingly defined by skulduggery.. underhandedness and behaviour that I find deeply disappointing.
And that is what makes it so sad.
I never imagined I would feel politically homeless because of @UKLabour ..but that is where I find myself now.
I’m not sure where that leaves me politically...but I know that I can no longer support a party that I feel has moved so far away from the values I once believed it stood for.
I can only hope that.. in time... those values can find their way back into British politics ... wherever that may be.
So I see most @UKLabour mps have turned off commenting...
Don't like hearing the truth maybe..
Don't like hearing about their treacherous behaviour
GUILT PREHAPS.
I hope it eats away at you.
So Tired of @andyburnham offering hope as the solution to Britain’s problems.
What we need now is concrete action.
Action on Thames Water.
Action to bring down soaring energy costs.
Action to tackle the rising cost of living. Action to address painfully high petrol prices.
Etc etc etc.
Hope alone won’t put money back in people’s pockets or fix the problems facing our country.
Actions speak louder than words.
Burnham...get something done .. or move aside and let someone who can take charge of the country step forward.
Sadiq Khan wants Britain to start preparing to rejoin the EU now: return to the customs union, pursue associate membership, consider the single market and put a clear rejoin pledge in Labour’s next manifesto.
His message to Andy Burnham: start making the case to voters today.
Read about his intervention today in the i paper here: https://t.co/5oHU8tx1k1
Chris Philp distancing himself from the last conservative government 🤔Does he think we forgot he was in the cabinet?
Oh yeah & it’s everyone else’s fault, obviously😒
Interested to read just how well the left did in ‘other’ elections in Germany. Apparently 54% of young women voted left. Completely under reported and considered of no consequence to the Media.
The media only offer biased reporting seemingly. Who knew

NEWS: @andyburnham
has pledged that he will not call a General Election until one is due in 2029.
He is moving to kill speculation about an early election (Bloomberg had reported last Saturday that people close to PM Burnham had decided against it)
PM Burnham says on 2029: “that’s when the next election will be.” He also categorically ruled out having an early election, including in May 2027. Asked about May 2027: “Absolutely not, no election any time soon.”
To be forever known as no mandate Burnham.
COWARD comes to mind..he would never get a full sweep like @Keir_Starmer
“Story after story has emerged where senior civil servants or politicians, who are meant to hold Palantir to account, have instead held alarmingly cozy relationships with the company.”
