@PettyHomoMD Over 15 mins then they have to reschedule. My doc tells the pt they are welcome to wait til the very end of clinic and be seen at the end IF another pt cancels or is 15 mins late to their appointment. If everyone is on time, they have to reschedule. Most decide to reschedule 😂
Friendly reminder nurses: Don't insert feeding tubes on patients who recently had surgery in their nose or who have basal skull fractures because this can happen.
So I have now gotten 4 DM’s from med students saying their hospital systems are asking them to volunteer to fulfill CNA-like roles due to nursing shortages.
Right now almost every facet of meded has been altered. Please stop asking students to do more.

Aisha Allen, DNP, CRNA, is being gaslighted & publically mocked by Duke University School of Nursing. She spoke up against the blatant racism she experienced while attending the Nurse Anesthesia program. In particular, 2 professors & the Dean of nursing. Thread.
Last year volunteers were protected & not allowed to be on campus, now these hospital systems are okay with them risking their lives? With an even stronger variant?
This is absolutely negligible.
Medical specialties as Pokémon. A 🧵. 1st gen (sorry @joshmcgoo)
Emergency Medicine—Ditto
Changes into basically every other specialty depending on the situation. May not get all the details perfect, but gets the job done
Post-vaccine myocarditis is rare but most common in males age 12-17 years (0.0067% in this group and 0.001% overall) & occurs a median of 3.5 days after the 2nd vax
Big BUT…
Almost 7x less common than myocarditis after an infection with COVID in this same group (0.045%)
Post-COVID vaccine myocarditis: a #tweetorial from a pediatric cardiologist
First off this complication is reasonably scary for parents deciding whether or not to vaccinate their kids. I do hope that this 🧵 helps clarify the data and dispel some myths.
@amoral_ASIAN From what I’ve seen on Rx Twitter you can contact the pharmacy or facility that did it for you and and it’s their discretion if they want to give you another based on their records of your past doses!
Imagine if everyone just got vaccinated when it came out, misinformation didn’t persist, and this pandemic was actually over? Instead we are on day 9827266219 of this pandemic and people are still talking about treating a virus with anti-parasite meds.
Although #hypertension can be easily detected through measuring blood pressure, at home or in a health centre, about 580 million people with it (41% of 👩 and 51% of 👨) are unaware of their condition because they were never diagnosed.

Just bc you test positive for COVID doesn’t mean you MUST come to the ER. You have a virus, yes your gonna feel shitty for a while. Isolate, rest, Tylenol, fluids, repeat.
@MrsPA_C “I don’t need a covid test, it’s just my sinuses that I get every year, I just need a cocktail shot and a z-pack”
Yeah, you’re positive for covid. Rinse and repeat.
