The fact that so many people are pissed after the $ZK drop is not because it was unfair ( one of the biggest and most fair drops I witnessed ), but because it was a one chance in a lifetime, these are not events that happen every year, even in crypto.
@zksync made history!
There is no sense in replying to people that continue to cry over the $ZK airdrop.
They continue to repeat the same crap every single time so there is no sense in replying.
Do yourself a favor & just move on. The @zksync team are not going to change anything now so better just move on however don't be surprised if future airdrops adopt what zksync has done.
So I hope most of you have LPs & not just push volume & txs with just $50 - $200 like most of your influencers tall you to do.
ZKsync never invited people to farm. It always strived to build a community of people who deeply care about the mission of ZK Credo and the incredible potential of the ZK tech.
Almost every blog post, twitter message, public statement of ZKsync focuses on the long-term mission, values and technology. Users were invited to join ZKsync to engage in organic activity, leveraging onchain opportunities and having fun. No rewards were ever promised for those activities.
We never called farmers "bots". We know that there many real people who feel hurt and disappointed. We understand why, and while this is not our fault, it makes us extremely unhappy. But this was bound to happen, because industrial farmers made it impossible to meet the expectations of everyone.
At the same time, it's also true that there is a massive misinformation campaign orchestrated by industrial sybils and their bots.
The high variability of the airdrop with 100x difference between the highest and lowest allocations is a deliberate choice.
Simple math:
3.675 billion ZK airdrop. Let's say we increase the number of eligible accounts to 1.5 million. Most of them will be smart industrial sybils, but let's ignore for now.
If we divide 3.675b equally between 1.5m, every organic user with just one account would have gotten 2450 ZK.
Most people would dump, forget, and move on to the next thing. No one would care.
Now, instead, tens of thousands of organic users received a very substantial allocation. For many of them it's creating life-chainging opportunities. Many will really, really, really care about the ZKsync. ZK is their new home now.
This is how a Nation is born.
A community of ZK Maxis. The ZK Diehards. The ZK Marines.
ZK is the endgame!

$ZK is the endgame!
Thank you for all the feedback and discussions over the past few days.
In 2024, airdrops are extremely challenging. Sophisticated industrial farms operate millions of bots indistinguishable from real people in behavioral patterns. This renders traditional activity-based airdrops completely useless for building resilient and sustainable communities.
Our airdrop design is unconventional and has its imperfections. But we are proud of the path we’ve chosen and believe we made reasonable tradeoffs. We are rewarding hundreds of thousands of people, creating life-changing opportunities for many of them.
We also recognize that many people are upset, having received less than they expected. We don’t take this lightly. We spent several days and nights looking into reports and double-checking data, to understand the full picture and eliminate any possible mistakes.
We did not identify major issues, but we also recognize that our communication about the nuances of the airdrop design was not clear enough. To address this, we’ve crafted an initial set of FAQs to address your most burning questions.

We are preparing a more systematic way for the community to collect and prioritize feedback, and will do our best to answer the remaining questions in full transparency.
This is just the start of an exciting new phase. Dozens of ecosystem projects have committed to distributing their token allocations to the community (see 🧵 below), and nearly 50% of the total token supply is still reserved for the community overall.
Claiming starts June 17th. Stay tuned for more updates.
