Did you know that when #LGBTQ couples in #Ireland have kids, if they want to get a passport for their child the biological parent has to sign an affidavit saying they're a single parent (even if the couple is in a committed relationship & the child has two parents)? #stormdiana

@DDaveeva @agonyDRD @PantiBliss Thanks for asking how you can get involved! Best thing you can do right now is contact your local TDs and ask them to encourage Minister Harris, Minister Doherty, and Minister Flanagan to work together on the legislation needed to resolve this.

@Eoin_Hayes @agonyDRD @PantiBliss @DDaveeva Hi Eoin, adopting parents are issued with an adoption certificate that replaces the birth certificate for legal purposes, so I don't think this requirement would apply in those cases.
