@andyp1599@UGLE_GrandLodge@jk_rowling Adjusted for inflation it costed around 70 million.
At the moment there are around 150k members in England.
If you were to take that estimation it would be around £500 a member.
Most I know definitely don't have deep pockets (especially nowadays) but love what they do.
I'm just gonna start doing a few updates on my game, homestead, then if someone is interested cool.
Anyway, today I managed to break networking by adding periodical saving. This forcefully disconnected everyone after save. Great stuff.
Playing with world generation today. I moved away from complete randomness to perlin noise, which makes things feel slightly more "natural". Unless it's rocks, of course, then nothing is natural...
The latest addition to Homestead is sheep. Everything in Homestead in non-violent, so actions on animals and fauna are purely to yield non-violent resources. Shearing a sheep will yield wool, which no doubt will have it's uses...
Homestead reached my internal version 0.1 today.
0.1 means, admittedly, not a lot; crafting, storage, moving and interacting with the world.
But it also paves the way for what should be pretty fast development from now on.
For 0.2 I will focus on "fun".
Stay tuned💐
Crafting in Homestead allows you to create objects from your environment to help you build and trade.
Although there is progression, it's very much focused on creating for joy.
Visually, Homested is very much in "building" phase, so it should be cleaner soon!
The game I'm building, Homestead, is there to provide you with a space to exist in, outside of your current world.
It focuses entirely on building, with no purpose but to exist.
It is calming and a beautiful canvas for you to express yourself in 💚🌲
This year, I promised myself to do more of the things I love and less of the things I don't.
For 10 years, I have dreamt of building a game. I spent the last year, on and off, building the engine.
I'm now starting to build that world and I can't wait to share it with you 💚
