Sam Houston lived in Huntsville starting in 1847. He sold his house a decade later to pay campaign debts. The home is managed by @SHMMuseum, which also features the relocated Steamboat House, where Houston’s body lay in state in 1863 before being laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery.

Education always seems to focus on "fixing teachers". Teachers don't need fixed but,
SOME need extra mentoring and extra support
ALL need to be encouraged, supported, & appreciated.
NONE need micromanaged

Focus should be on developing their strengths to excel in the classroom!

Teachers plates can take no more. They currently have five jobs. Teacher, curriculum developer, IT for students, therapist for parents struggling, & office worker. All while trying to survive the pandemic w/ their family too. Let’s all give teachers grace & support right now.

I hope most districts realize school is not 8-4 reality for students now. Homes w/ 1 computer, no computer, kids waiting to use a computer, taking care of siblings, helping parents, parents working, parents unemployed, people sick. Teachers focus is needs of kids not a schedule

A ship has a Plimsoll line that shows when a ship is overloaded & can sink. We have a plimsoll line, a point where more added to our plate will sink us. Let’s be aware of what we’re asking as admin, teachers, & parents. Let’s help keep others afloat rather than sinking them.
